Kes had heart.. :)

Kes had a sweet nature (kind, generous), empathic and perhaps most of all, she never judged people on their behavior or actions, but tended to see the good in each of them, even if it was far from obvious.
She would have made a great counselor (especially for Seven) and even a mediator. in tense period. I loved her relationships with Janeway, Tuvok and the Doctor. :-D

BEFORE AND AFTER

As strange as it may seem, Kes and Tom would have made a cute couple. Not because they were both blond but because both were good natured, pleasant and loyal. Alas, their years of happiness would have been short due to Kes Ocampan nature, which does not allow her to live beyond a few years.

Her lifespan could have been prolonged.

Otherwise I agree with you about Kes and Tom. :techman:

Poinsettia? Reminds me of Christmas plants.
So much so that their Hungarian name (which is "mikulásvirág") translates as "Santa's flowers" into English. I thought that since ONCE UPON A TIME was a very colourful episode, I would make something with red, which is a colour that usually vamps up any image I make.

On this point, I'd tend to agree with Kes, regardless of what they are (a holography device for holograms and a mechatronic device for , humanoïds, robots), they must be respected by all LIVING beings surrounding them, especially if they worked with, in a certain proximity like it was on a vessel... even if the trouble of having to show sociability with non living beings, strictly speaking, ‎is understandably BUT there is a hell of gap between respecting these "beings" and treating them with more favourable consideration/with the greatest possible respect as Picard did with Data and Janeway with the Doctor, especially if it is done at the expense of the others crew members.
-> Sorry to say that but IF human beings deal with more consideration and courtesy holograms & humanoids than their fellow people, then there is a big problem in our society, whatever the countries & century! :-(

In addition, I'd add that if respect it must be, it must be shared from both sides and not being unilateral -> you have to acknowledge that the Doctor was mostly irrespectuous and uneasy with crew members who surrounded him (it was even ironic to see him giving lessons of good manners and sociability to Seven when, when himself forget them most of the time!) ... as his creator, Dr Lewis Zimmerman, besides!
-> Janeway allowed him to exist outside his original program and to become a full crew member, he should consequently make an effort to blend in better into his surroundings, what means, to be himself respectful of others and to stop talking to people like they were dumb..
Hi @Ghislaine H. B. BRAEME I haven't seen you here in my thread for a few days. But I'm glad to see you have returned. So you think that Janeway favours some characters over other characters? I don't ... but that's me. I think she is like a good mother to them all. They all have different personalities so Janeway treats them accordingly.

I quite like the idea of Tommyboy and Kes together ... but having said that, I love him together with B'Elanna too!

Of course, my ideal couple would be Tommyboy and Chakotay ...

I think a better idea would have been if she hadn't been forced by the writers to live for such a short time. They could have agreed on, say, 40 years or something similar. The very fact that you can actually predict the day of your death could have been enough burden to make the character very interesting.

I wonder why Tuvok didn't suspect he was dreaming when (in the context of his dream), he woke up nude. Because when he woke up for real, he had pajamas on.

Hello Thomas Eugene!!! :-D Well, I was very busy in the beginning of the week and that why I was less present on the forum. I must deserve my pay of end-month! ;-)

Paris/Chakotay?! :-O Well, why not, knowing that for my part, I liked the idea of Janeway/Paris!

Why not! :-)

Oh well at least he was in good shape! It was like he was walking around oblivious to being naked until the snickers.

FLESH AND BLOOD

Ah, another of those episodes where the Doctor risked the safety of the crew to rescue his fellow, under the pretext they were holograms. All to realize that he had been fooled -> well yes, my dear Doctor, (sentient?) holograms do not get much better than livng beings they were/are supposed to serve. And especially as they have copied their worst faults and vices.

Love the look on Janeway's face!
This picture of Janeway comes from INFINITE REGRESS as she is looking at Jeri Ryan's Ferengi performance ...
Love the look of the coffee, since I'm caffeine deprived right now! :techman:
I hope the problem has been remedied in the meantime ... Or shall I beam over some coffee for you? :D

You really don't like the Doctor, do you?

TIME AND AGAIN

Shipping J/P, my little heart pounded strongly in seeing them so comfortable to be in the company of one anotherand or work together, like in this episode ;-D
-> Kate Mulgrew has agreed with a fan, during one of her post-Voyager conventions she attended, that J/P was surely better suited (because of their common history with Starfleet, their personalities and a certain & evident affinity between them) than J/C and that it would have been interesting to develop their relationship (nothing sexual, however because Janeway's rule not to pursue a romance with one of her crew members, what was understandable to maintaining her leadership) to see where this could go but fans had decided otherwise in pairing Janeway to Chakotay and Paris to Torres for romance and Janeway/Tuvok and Paris/Kim for friendship, but I remained unsatisfied by the missed opportunity to develop a true and strong complicity between them. ‎Of course, we got bits and pieces ‎here and there but well, it was never enough for me!

Oh and what Janeway did in "Time and Again", intervening directly in the events to make any difference, was an evident breach of the Prime Directive. One of her first times with making little arrangements with Starfleet's protocols and principles to achieve her ends, even if here, it was understandable... .
