B'Elanna looks great even though that's not my favorite episode.
This isn't my fav ep, either - although I don't think there's a single VOY ep which I wouldn't like - except FURY. I've mentioned elsewhere that PROTOTYPE is one of the episodes that could easily have been developed into a mini story arc, like for example the VOY crew don't get B'Elanna back at the end of the ep but they have to go after her and in this way they get embroiled in the robot war.

But we didn't get that so we have to make do with what we have. There are several aspects of this episode I like, mainly the arguments about where the final frontier lies when it comes to creating something and to what extent VOY can go before they start playing God. Then how B'Elanna has to see that Janeway's initial worries were not unfounded and how she has to experience first hand that her desire to create something mustn't let her get carried away. It is also interesting to see that she understands what wrong she has done (even if she saved VOY with that) and in a hindsight she feels sorry for it while the whole thing gives her the experience of creation, which is an unbeatable feeling for an engineer.

But really the best part is how Janeway understands her at the end of the ep. Like you can expect from a good mother she first warns her, even forbids her to do what she is later forced to do and then when B'Elanna is finally rescued how Janeway understands what the whole thing must have meant to B'Elanna. The last scene was reminiscent of that at the end of PERSISTENCE OF VISION. It's a shame that later on Janeway's final conversations will almost exclusively be restricted to Seven. I really enjoy her discussing the moral aspects of a given character's actions at the end of episodes with everyone, including B'Elanna.

Since Discovery is post Enterprise and pre-original, do the Klingons have smooth foreheads? I haven't watched the trailer.
They have a kind of peak to their heads with furrows either side. They are bald from what I can see with dominate flared noses. Crazy eyes..

B'Ellana is way prettier :)

I guess that "Discovery" will continue to mess up established Trek history in the same way "Enterprise" did.

Maybe people who watch it can head-canon it as an early but ultimately failed attempt to restore their appearance after the Augment virus un-crested their foreheads.

As for the crazy eyes, maybe they are Gowron's ancestors.;):)
