So caring for elderly - like Seven did in the novels for her Aunt Irene - is considered weak and should be left to nurses instead of family members? Borg on the other hand simply kill off weak individuals.

Seven cared for Icheb and the Borglings. She was close to Naomi Wildman. She saved Neelix's life in "Mortal Coil".

Being a warrior and being compassionate are NOT mutually exclusive. There is a time and place for BOTH.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I like Kes, I wish she had stayed.

If nothing else, she could have earned a decent place in the relaunch books … but no, those were only good for killing off the main character (then bringing her back … - no emoji for headache here??? ), killing off the main enemy and worst of all, taking away the essence of Voyager: a ship lost in space ...

Anyway … there's no use dwelling on the past. Kes will always stand for the earlier seasons and Seven for the later ones of Voyager. I like them both so I can't complain.
