Finished it. Excellent tale. What a twisted resolution-I have to be honest, you left all of the pieces out there but I didn't suspect anything until the scene of Fontaine waking up in Astrometrics with a sore neck. Then I started to doubt the obvious-but still didn't see what was coming. It was a great read, thank you for writing it.

Thanks for that, I had wondered if the resolution would seem as obvious as it actually is, but it seems I managed to pull the wool over people's eyes which is good as I wanted it to be a surprise

It wasn't supposed to be, but it works quite nice that way anyway, might do it for the others! It was, as Mistrel says, the easiest way to disguise that Renee O'Conner isn't blue with white hair
