Star Trek V isn't that bad...

IMHO, ST V is horrible. After the greatness of movies 2-4, I have rarely if ever felt so let down and cheated when walking out of a movie theater.

I have spoken.

I really don't get III or IV, even if enjoyable, being considered great or at all comparable to II. And more leniency/latitude or not to V probably does depend in pretty part on view of it relative to those of III and IV.

Greatness is relative, to be sure. III and IV definitely had their issues, but compared to all the Trek movies that came after (with the exception of VI) they were definitely great.

I can’t watch II anymore because I’ve all but memorized it.

III has the best rewatch value to me…
