Star Trek TOS Miniatures -- Where Are They Now?

I don't know who owns all the miniatures, but in addition to the large Enterprise model, the shuttlecraft, Klingon ship, Botany Bay and the 2 Tholian ships (1 redressed) were on display at the Smithsonian for the exhibit in '92. So those models existed at least until that time.

Yeah, those still exist and are not being what I would call "hoarded" since they were put on display and fans (including myself) were able to go to the exhibit and take pictures of the models, props, etc.

That was a really great exhibit, by the way. The only gripe I had was the re-painting of the Enterprise...which I felt was just -- too much and not accurate.

And before somebody jumps on me for that comment: Yes, I know it was in worse shape due to transport and mistreatment at the museum previously. The restoration for the exhibit DID do some good things.

I just didn't like the paint job.

Anyway, what I was thinking of when I created this thread were the models that didn't make it into the exhibit. Maybe it doesn't exist anymore...maybe it went into a dumpster at Paramount and nobody rescued it...that's the kind of stuff. I'm just asking -- is there anything that didn't make it into the Smithsonian exhibit that somebody has out there?

I want to say, I don't hate collectors or people who own the Trek props, models, etc...I just think they should share the stuff in pictures.

That's all I'm saying and asking for...and it's nothing I wouldn't do were the items in my possession. I'm not even talking about another exhibit -- just, if you own the stuff take some pictures of it and let the fans see it. That's all...all I'm asking for and bitching about. LOL!!!

Walk into the next room. Grab your digital camera. Take some pictures of all of it from various angles...and post it on the web.

What's so hard about that? LOL!!! It would probably take you...oh...thirty minutes? An hour of your prescious time? I laugh, but I am being serious here.
