Star Trek too too

I always thought Conrad was cool.. his show down with Lou Fergino on BATTLE OF THE NETWORK STARS was a classic...
I saw him recently on a re-run of "Just Shoot Me," where he plays himself. But best of all, the classic miniseries, "Centennial" was just issued on DVD this past summer, and he was terrific as the fur trader "Pasquinel" in that. We really enjoyed it and even bought some of those wool caps he wore for this winter, LOL.
Note also who plays his son Jacques in that mini.

M'Sharak, thanks for the tip; I'll have to watch for him next time on DS-9 and ENT.

Fantastic fotonovel-ish comparison! (that took more than a few minutes, I'm sure!)...
Glad you enjoy the screen caps. :) I can recommend the WWW DVD's.

In fact, I had these screen caps already made up. A couple years ago, I started a thread about WWW/TOS Crossover guest cast. The first season of WWW had just come out on DVD, and I was pleased at how many character actors that show shared with TOS.

Every day for a few weeks, I would work on an episode and post some screen caps. It was a big job; and it was a lot of fun, too. Alas, the thread was pruned at some point during forum maintenance. But I still have the source pages if you want to see them.

They are mostly at Archival Album (scroll down a few rows) and WWW Crossover Album.

I have nothing insightful to add. I just wanted to opine about how hot Sherry Jackson was as Andrea. Dang.

...and Sherry Jackson

VOY "Workforce" was almost identical to a Stargate SG-1 episode that aired a year earlier called "Beneath the Surface."

I think, in a musical way, John Williams borrows many musical attributes from the various Star Trek composers of TOS...
...

John Williams borrows from the same classical composers that the TOS composers did, not from them, Doomsday Machine similarities to the Jaws shark theme notwithstanding.
Exactly. John Williams draws particularly from Richard Wagner in his use of motifs and is extremely well-versed in the styles, technical devices and harmonic materials of many important composers of the last two-and-a-half centuries. To say that he borrows from the composers of Star Trek music is not only dead wrong but it ignores completely the fact that Williams had been a working television and film composer for a decade or more before Star Trek went on the air in 1966.

But I have read somewhere that John Williams lists Alexander Courage as one of his inspirations..

I don't doubt that he does -- Courage was a few years (13) his senior and Williams may have worked for Courage as a musician before breaking in as a composer -- but the fact remains that he was an established figure in the business well before Star Trek came along, and did the music for shows contemporary with it, such as Gilligan's Island and Lost in Space.

I ran across something interesting, while checking dates: a program about Alexander Courage, hosted by John Williams (I think this may have been put together for a film festival or special showing.)

Have a look -- Part 1 of 4 here.
