So before we get into the subject of this thread, I cannot express enough the level of gratitude I have towards youtube user JTVFX (I believe he is on this forum somewhere, can't remember his username but if anyone knows, please tag him for me!) as his work makes up 75% to 90% of this effort. His edit of the TNG Season 1 intro theme made my edit possible.
Anywho, to the point. This is my attempt at editing together the closest possible recreation of the TNG Season 1 Theme Music, as it sounded when audiences first heard it in 1987. If I recall correctly, the original masters were lost or are incomplete, so the original isolated score is gone forever. My attempt was to get as close as possible to the sound of the isolated score, which is hard because of the Enterprise warping here and there and everywhere. It was a tricky business, but with the help of many resources (including the previously mentioned JTVFX version of the intro theme) I think I'm satisfied with the result sufficiently enough to share my edit. NOTE: I am very open to constructive criticisms, so if something sounds wrong or out of place, let me know and I'll try to fix it. This is just the latest attempt at reconstructing the TNG Season 1 theme, it probably won't be the last, and I'm well aware of that. Anywho, enough yakking on my end. How they extended it as opening credits still works wonders as it was way too easy to go on and on with cast credits, especially when TNG was compared against TOS at the time, but the music strings it alone nicely.
