STAR TREK - title reveal

Anyone else LOVE the way the movie title was revealed on screen? Awesome, powerful stuff. Rather than going for the subtle white text on a black background, they really seemed to make a big deal that there's a new Star Trek in town.

Awesome stuff. And that wonderful theme really worked well.

Finally we can start to forget that godawful Nemesis one.

Yep, loved the gradual reveal of STAR TREK. Very powerful! The poignancy of the opening 10 minutes and the STAR TREK display made me so proud to be a trek fan.

It's one of the few things I didn't like. The attempt to make the lettering 3-D and broad and big and bold didn't do it for me, perhaps because I found the soundtrack weak there.

It's competing with some majorly great soundtracks, though, in ST: TMP and STII: TWOK.

Nicely done, but didn't do it for me.

More the moments leading up to the reveal were spot-on; the logo a bit too Iron-Man or Transformer-ish to me.

But that's an exceedingly minor quibble...

Anyway, I loved the title reveal. Very cool. Very, very, very cool. Not nerdy, no. Cool.

I liked it. That's how you title blockbusters, and this is the first time since 1979 Paramount has really given Trek that kind of attention. And money.

I liked Transformers, good fun, funny, entertaining.

I did to and the people complaining about the movie REALLY need to take a good look at certain aspects of Transformers animated series stuff like the Japanese Headmasters series before complaining about Bay's movie.

Also the title sequence in Star Trek (2009) was awesome.

Nope. I loved it, and watch it regularly. Can't wait for 2. And I hated the cartoon as a kid.

That was pretty cool, the Iron Man/Transformers effect didn't bother me as much as the "Fringe" inspired titles that announced the locations "Vulcan" "Iowa", etc... looked like a cheesy Powerpoint 3D effect...

I think it would've been more effective without the decuman delta in the background, just the words "Star Trek." .

Yo! Especially after that kickass intro that nearly had me in tears. Got me just as hard the second time around.

Oh and I love Transformers, can't wait for the sequel.
