Spoilers Star Trek The Q Conflict #1 Review Thread

If the Dominion could start a supernova with trilithium and whatnot, I don't see how it would be beyond Trelane's abilities.

You could say the same about any character who gained access to the necessary technology. I don't see the connection to Trelane specifically. Why even bring up supernovae and Trelane in the same thought? It's a very confusing non sequitur. Are you referencing something from the comic?

The comic has several supernovae, a la Q and the Grey, as a sign that something odd is going on in the cosmos in 2379. I assume that Trelane, as a more advanced species (if not godlike), could easily cause some of the supernovae. Maybe with cloaked drones going at super-transwarp rather than simply his mind.

Unexplained supernova is the only thing we see happen pointing to superbeings, prior to Q showing up and then plucking four groups of people from space and time to "Neutral Ground".

We haven't seen anything (yet) from Trelane that would put him in the range of these other superbeings, other than sitting on the dais with them.

Whos up to #4 :) Seems to be picking up the pace now as it was a bit slow to get going #1- #3 (not necessarily a bad thing) Though is it just me or are we a month behind? was it not ment to finish in june?

Yeah, they missed a month in there, which has become the norm for IDW since the big executive shake-up a while back, when Star Trek group editor Sarah Gaydos left. She ran a tight ship, and issues were almost never late under her watch.

issue #5: two characters appearing (if you think about it logically) and two characters appearing that I never thought I would see :D loving it and cant wait to see how it'll all pan out in the final issue :)

I picked up the collected Kindle edition of this yesterday and read the first issue so far.
I've always enjoyed the Tiptons' stuff, and they haven't really disappointed me yet. The set for this is pretty fun, and the writing is pretty good. The only thing that has been bugging me is that it's set on the Enterprise-E, possibly between Insurrection and Nemesis, and they have Worf wearing gold, even though he was always in red in the movies.
I realized that technically, this actually more accurate, since at this point he was back as Chief of Security. I never really understood why he was in red in Nemesis.

I finished the whole thing last night, and my opinion pretty much stayed the same through the whole thing.
The way they mixed ups the casts was fun, and I got a big kick out of all the callbacks to episodes of the different shows. I got a big kick out of Wesley and Amanda's role in the story, and their little explanation for Wesley's presence in Nemesis.
