Good to see the proper cut get a release.

 

Is this realistically happening? I hope so.

 

I'll save any excitement until I have the disc in my 4K UHD player.

 

Fingers crossed. It'll make that fan-edit I've been putting off a lot easier if it ends up just being two CG shots, reinserting some of McCoy's smartass comments, and going back to the old red alert klaxon.

 

Day 1. In for 2 copies! LOL

 

I don't have 4k TV yet and I have stopped buying DVDs/Blurays, but this is still great news. This fabulous movie needs to be seen in the best presentation possible.

 

I don't care for the DC, I just hope that the SLV will be there as a bonus disc!

 

If it’s the theatrical and directors edition combined, I am so in on this...

 

But remember, it would still be TMP, the highly problematic film best watched in short installments. (Also, this strikes me as more of a grassroots initiative and therefore one that is unlikely to succeed; surely Paramount’s first and probably only release would be TWOK yet again.)

 

So long as it has all the extras ever released on home entertainment, including those for the special edition DVD from the early 2000s and its available for standard Blu-Ray I'm there.

 

...which just so happens to be my joint favourite trek film alongside TWOK. I'll be purchasing this immediately if it's released.

 

TMP is my favorite Trek movie, so I would definitely pick up a 4K version.

I would like to have the SLV as an extra, perhaps just put on a DVD.

 

My ultimate wishlist is the SLV with the DE FX inserted. Now that would be an epic release.

 

I’d rather just have the original 4:3 presentation, warts and all.

 

Ideally, I'd want all three versions in 4k in one collection to simply please everyone. I'd only watch TDE, but this way everyone gets what they want.
