After reading the synopsis of the movie, who do you all think they would have/could have casted as "Tiberius Chase"?

This may have only been a rumor, but I do remember reading at that time that Tom Hanks, who had worked with Jendressen previously, was interested in the role. This seems likely as Hanks is also a Trek fan and had been considered for the role of Zefram Cochrane, but I believe he was already involved with 'The Green Mile' and was unavailable to shoot FC.

This isn't true. Chase is a Cadet in the script. If Hanks had been involved this movie would have had a better chance of being made.
It is true he is a fan of Star Trek and he can do a mean impression of Optimus Prime.
