Star Trek Teaser - Grading and Disscusion

Come on, you lazy foreign bastards! Pirate something!
Maybe us foreigners have a quality called patience.

No, I'm just kidding: I WANT THIS DAMN TEASER ONLINE!!! NOW!!!

I'll be seeing this tomorrow night and will also be keeping an ear open to hear if anyone complains about another Trek movie. I do expect that.

again i gotta say, fanbase is letting me down, where are the spys in australia that can get this to us, we're jonesing for some trek, any trek!!!

I'm hittin' YouTube every ten minutes, man.

I'm also circling YouTube. No trailer yet.

I did find this, which is a pretty funny ad from 2001 when Enterprise came out that I think is Canadian in origin.

Oh, also the trailer. Okay, a fake trailer. But meh, it's mildly amusing.

Man, I am really unimpressed with this cyberspace-internet-globalcommunity- worldwideweb-whatever BS. The trailer's been out all day halfway around the world, which makes it like two days really, and it hasn't made it on the net STILL? I have to wait for it to be released in America for some rather keen, industrious person to illegally post it on the web?

(Of course, THAT'S what makes the good 'ole USA so great, but still, people...)

C'mon! ARRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall:

Rats! Still not online.

**sulks off**
Don't you have news to post? :D

I know. I have that. But I have to listen to some stupid videos first to write the article in which it will appear and I was waiting until my TV show was over to watch/transcribe them.

No wonder YouTube was doing heavy network maintenance last night. :D

Tech: "Admin! The Trekkies are pounding with the F5 beam!"

Admin: "Raise the bandwidth shields!"

Tech: "But YouTube will fly apart!11!"

Admin: "Fly her apart, then!11!!!"

I actually saw Cloverfield last night, in Melbourne Aus, and no Trek trailer for me!

However my sister saw it in Auckland NZ and texted me to say she was the trailer and that it was awesome.

OK America... we're counting on YOU! Those slackers around the rest of the freaking globe have not yet pirated and posted the Trek teaser! We know there are midnight shows in several US cities, so one of you East-coasters had better step up to the plate! I WANT MY PIRATED TEASER!

I'd be gearing up to go see it at midnight, but I have to be up for class at 5:00am so...no dice. What is going to suck is going all day at a school full of nerds like us and not overhearing any spoilers about the trailer or the movie. :brickwall:

If everyone's F5-ing youtube, who's going to be in the theater pirating the teaser?

I certainly hope Trekkies worldwide haven't got a collective case of someone-else-will-dosits.

Just got back from Cloverfield. Great movie. Oh, there was something else I saw, let me see...oh yeah! The teaser! It gave me chills. The good kind. Don't wait for the shakey cam version. Go see Cloverfield, check if the trailer is before it, and witness the return of Star Trek. (Can you tell I liked it:)

The teaser is splendid, and does exactly what its name implies. The choice of voiceover tracks (JFK, Neil Armstrong, Spock's narration from TWOK) sets a lofty tone which is matched by the still, majestic shots of seemingly tiny workmen assembling the massive ship. The film itself would do well to be half this classy.
