It appears that the teaser was made specifically to be one, and none of that footage will actually be in the movie, as ST first I believe. I also like that fact they didn't show a lot of quick glimpses of movie scenes and unfinished footage like past ST teasers.

Totally agreement. This one gets points from me for not being a typical Trek trailer by any means.
