This is awesome news. Hopefully they can start working on it soon.

I am BEYOND excited for this. This is amazing news.

Pike officially has a shot at surpassing my longtime favourite of Picard now, this just got serious.

I hope they change the design of the Discoprise. But we all know that ain't happenin'. But at least maybe they'll make some new ships that take their design cues from the Discoprise.

Really glad they went with that name! It's going to be a while before we see this show however. Likely not until 2022 or super late 2021. That said I'm glad it's coming. I love Star Trek Discovery. Start Trek Picard has been really good to great for me. I feel Strange New Worlds is going to be a lot closer to Discovery. Not exact but closer and I can't wait to see the first footage and designs from it.

That also means more Disco era ships as well! More of the Discovery version of Enterprise as well!! I love that new design and can't wait to see more of the inside of that ship. We already got the engine room from the one Short Trek. I want to see if that thing gets built out or we stick with the CGI look they provided.

I knew this was a foregone conclusion when I saw that they'd constructed the Enterprise bridge using a generous quantity of red powder-coated aluminium rather than spray painting some plywood. There's no way they'd go to such expense if the set was only intended to appear in two episodes of Star Trek: Discovery and a few Short Treks.

I really hope it's got a different tone and feel from the other Orci/Kurtzman Star Trek shows. IMO I wouldn't like it very much if it's got that same "Shock value" tone Picard and Discovery had with people cursing and gratuitousness

Stoked on basis of main cast and potential. Let's hope the writers don't let them down.

All bases are covered now. They have their TOS Show (SNW), their TNG Show (PIC), and their Future Show (DSC).

Not to mention a cartoon on Nickelodeon to rope in the Trekkies Of Tomorrow.

PS: I told you so!

This could be very, very good. Pike was a great character and his relationship with Peck's Spock was perfectly pitched. They were the best thing about season 2. I was less sold on Romjin, but in fairness she was barely in it.

I'm hoping for an exploration show. Let's see what's out there.

As long as they don’t use any of the Discovery stuff, it should be good. I want the real Enterprise
