News Star Trek Stellar Cartography Updated

I watched the panel about this at STLV. Was a pleasant surprise that this is an updated version! I initially thought it was just a reprint, but I love that they're updating it to include Discovery information up to the end of season 1.

Oh man, I wish I had $50 to drop on an awesome book like this!

I already own the last one, I'll probably wait a few more years for another updated version to come out.

I didn't know there was a panel at Las Vegas about this. Probably because I couldn't and didn't go to STLV.

The official Trek site and most of the fan sites reported on all of the news and panels. I follow pretty much everything happening in Vegas without ever leaving my house.

Short of selling the old one for close to $50, not happening.
Looking at Chapters/Indigo/Coles' current pricing for the original of C$112 (which they tag as "out of stock" yet "available in stores", and I'd like to know how that happens), you might well be able to manage two copies.

Out of stock online. Whatever pool of inventory they have available from ordering through their website seems to be separate from whatever stock is allocated to their stores. I've seen the same thing on Best Buy's website too.

Of course, they do seem to list it as "available in stores" even if there's only one store across the entire country. I tried searching some major population centres, and was only able to find 1 copy, in a store in Woodbridge, ON. (And with only 1 copy, it's possible there is an issue with their inventory count, and there's not really any there at all.)

Anyway...wondering what errors needed fixing?
According to Larry Nemecek at STLV, for one thing there were a number of TOS planets that got missed in the first edition. Really well-known ones, too, that got left out due to an oversight. They have all been added in along with the updates from more recent Trek.

Wonderful news for people who missed the original, as this is one of the finest Trek Lit works outside of the regular novels.

As someone who already owns the original and its predecessor Star Charts, I won't be investing in a new copy however. Even we professional map making enthousiasts have our limits.
