Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

New interview with Ben Robinson. The 31st century Constitution class, the "naked" Cerritos, and the vertical Romulan warbird are mentioned. There's not a lot of new information, but he does seem to be working on more than just the first 20 ships.
Yeessssss!
I’d love both the large ‚Tomalak‘s Fist‘ style vertibird as well as the Kiith class from LD.
Plus, I need the Kirk class as a model — twice! One USS Armstrong and one to rename to NCC–1701–P. Eaglemoss had a prototype already.

Assuming that the line will be extended, which ships do you think should be the next XL models? They could probably do the rebuilt Enterprise D by just re-using the existing XL molds and painting on the scratches. Do you think the CSS World Razer deserves to be XL because it's "almost an Enterprise"? Or maybe the Zheng He (updated season 2/3 version), Pathfinder-class Voyager B, Luna class, or Sagan class?

Didn't the Picard Rebuild have some missing hull plates on the nacelles? They were shown in the design sketches (along with heavier burn marks from the reentry) but the they way they filmed the scenes I never could get a close look for them...

I would like to see an XL of the Andrew Probert Enterprise-C Concept. If you watch the Trekyards video, there is tremendous detail on the Tobias Richter CGI
model not captured on the 5 in. version we got. Also, it’s an Enterprise.

All of those except Luna and Sagan for me, please. The existing models of the latter two do the job nicely for me. That said, I’d still buy them in XL.

In general, I’d like the like then to continue the ratio of 19 Starfleet ships vs 1 alien ship.
My pipe dream would the Captain Dax’s Vesta-class USS Aventine.

I think it would make sense to have at least three alien ships within the next 20 issues:
- the vertical Romulan warbird
- one of the Borg ships from PIC (Artifact, Singularity, Queen's cube)
- one ship from SNW (Romulan warship, Praetor's flagship, Gorn hunter, Gorn destroyer)

I didn't even consider ships from the older shows/movies. I'd still like to see an XL Steamrunner.
I'd love to see an XL Steamrunner too! Also Vor'cha class attack cruiser or a Jem'Hadar attack ship. More alien ships in the XL line would be great.

Unfortunately the old EM Enterprise-D is one of their worst, most inaccurate sculpts so if Fanhome did choose to do the resurrected D, I hope they'd use the 3D model from PIC S3 and not the (I think) fanmade model EM based theirs off of.

Wasn't the EM CGI model actually used in PIC S1 for the Starfleet Command hologram? I remember the wrong shuttlebays!

I don't think it's the same model. They both have the symmetrical shuttlebays error, but the escape pod placement and the shape of the main shuttlebay are different.

As for the Eaglemoss model - it looks very similar to the CG model from "These are the Voyages" to me (which is also used in the magazine, but only for the saucer separation pictures).

Really, the only ships I’d like to see would be ones that Eaglemoss “technically” already did.

A corrected XL 1701-A, a landed and “warp speed flight mode” Voyager (genuinely shocked EM never did these when they did all three flight modes of the BoP), a separated Galaxy Class (no need to be able to reattach them to make one ship), an XL or larger version of the original Galileo Shuttlecraft, etc…

I might even be down for battle damaged versions like Johnny Lightning and Diamond Select did.

“warp speed flight mode” Voyager (genuinely shocked EM never did these when they did all three flight modes of the BoP),
I was begging for that for years. Like, I know you can modify your existing model if you carefully heat-pistol the pylons...but I can't be trusted with such stuff.

Even just breaking and re-gluing would work. But both versions would be such “cheap” repaints for EM to do it’s strange that neither version ended up as a convention exclusive.

I know Ben Robinson answered why they never did a separated Galaxy Class/E-D but I wonder if he’s ever said why they didn’t do at least the “at warp” Voyager.

The XL Enterprise-A wouldn't have been so bad if they'd just repainted it to make it look like the Robert Abel version of the Refit from TMP, which is where they got the sculpt for the Bridge module from.
This is the only Eaglemoss model I ever returned. Like others I highly anticipated it but then when I saw it I was very dissapointed, even more so when I spent $75 on it.
Thankfully the Corgi refit looks better and is in a similar size so it sits well with my other Eaglemoss/Fanhome (ENT-F) Enterprises.
