Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Yeah, I just assumed that construction on the Valiant and others had already started, but they were mothballed when the Defiant was put on ice. Once Sisko had proved her use, the other ships were quickly completed.

MR tweeted out this morning that they received a large palate of “a certain Enterprise” and despite what the box labels said all the ships were Cardassian. Hoping they weren’t supposed to be the E-F.

This weeks drop…

price dependent I might be in for the JJPrise and Flight Mode Bird of Prey. Otherwise everything is a pass.

Decided to once again pass on the JJprise. And the cost of shipping isn’t worth it for the flight version BoP alone.

Yes. It was special #34 of the original line., after the Talarian Observation Craft and before the Hierarchy Assault Ship. You can find a couple of them on eBay. They aren't as common as the regular D5 battlecruiser, to be sure.

I had one in cart, but didn't get checked out in time.
Same. This one was “nice to have” not “have to have”, so I’m not particularly put out on missing it.

From, MR’s communications it seems like there is a lot of additional stock making it’s way from China, so maybe there will be a chance to pick it up down the road.

Finally got a DS9 XL this time round. I like the idea of an XL Enterprise-A but the lack of detail on the side of the saucer (along with the ridiculous oversized text) and the weird bridge module are enough to put me off. Tried to get Spacedock again too but no luck.

I wish the XL Enterprise-A was a better model. I briefly wavered but I think I'm done.
I would have picked up that mold as a 1701, since there was a pre-TMP version of the original refit model that looked like that before its final modifications. I can't imagine they wouldn't have done a "concept" redeco of just that to get more use out of the mold if EM hadn't failed.

The XL 1701-A is still the biggest fumble they ever did. And one of the biggest I’ve ever made…not looking close enough at the prototype pictures…at least I was able to eventually sell mine to 2nd and Charles.

I mean… I could live with all the other errors but screwing up the bridge module was just a step too far. Especially when they got it correct for the XL Reliant.

It’s such a blatantly weird mistake to make. It’s accurate for that pre-TMP version, almost like they were considering doing a bonus-sized concept, but then to blow that version up to XL size and never notice that it’s totally wrong for all of the test shots, etc. is pretty inexcusable.
