I was confused by that too but erred on the side of caution and got lucky.

Probably should have assumed they were going to screw it up, but they clarified it was supposed to be Valiant pretty strongly earlier in the week.

They have really messed up on communicating which ships were going to be available this time round. And their Twitter account is getting a bit pissy about people complaining, which isn't a good look.

Yeah, I don’t care if I miss something because of timing, but if they can’t get what’s actually in the drop correct in multiple communications, that I find irritating.

With regard to the Fs, they probably should have waited on those until they got their big shipment instead of annoying customers by dropping so few.

I gather it's something to do with finding the remaining stocks in Europe, which are faster to get but usually in smaller amounts, and those in China, which are more plentiful but takes several weeks to ship.

That's the only reason I'm interested in getting some of the STO ships – to complete a canon fleet. God knows I'm not getting the Odyssey-class for its looks (Though I will say that the Pathfinder-class looks much better "in the flesh" than I was anticipating.)

I think I own only 1 non-canon ship. The Bonaventure... that design is just so good. If they hadn’t made the Enterprise-Fugly canon I wouldn’t be bothering with it.

Yeah, you could get most of the STO ships, other than Enterprise of course, from Amazon for dirt cheap for a couple months after Eaglemoss went under.

I bought the Bonaventure not expecting much, but when I received it, I couldn't help admire its design. It looks sleek and a perfect gap between the NX-01 and the Constitution. I'd go as far to say it's one of my favorite of the Eaglemoss releases.

The STO Enterprise-F is now canon, and I still have no desire whatsoever to buy it, because it’s just not a good design.

Hi Peeps!

My standard sized USS Excelsior arrived last night! I’m very happy with this one, all things considered. As mentioned by others, the nacelle, pylon structure is fairly delicate and feels extremely light - and overall due to its length, it’s a little smaller in overall mass - but I still love it, and am glad to have finally obtained it!

it feels like an age since I felt the excitement of unboxing a new Eaglemoss Trek Starship, so enjoying the feels right now!

MR don't seem to be aware that there's three versions of the F, the standard grey Bonus, the white with black Bonus, and the refit Online. I own the first two, but not the refit. The store has what seems to be the second Bonus - and Ben Robinson said that's what it was - but with the images from the refit, so I hesitated for a few seconds and it sold out. Hopefully they get that all cleared up before they get more.

Other than that, I'm relatively happy with how it's all been going. Some teething issues, but that's going to happen. Hopefully they learn from each and avoid making mistakes more than once. The most annoying thing is having to pay import, but that's not MR's fault.

I'm keeping my eyes peeled for the regular USS Defiant.

Got the Planet Killer. I kind of wish they had made a model of the Constellation, so I could feed it to the Planet Killer. I guess the Defiant 1764 will have to do.

No, there's a real stigma towards anything alien. It's a real shame, since it's probably deterred them from making a few things I really would've liked. In my case, I already ordered it, and it's scheduled to arrive, at long last, tomorrow.
