Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Looks like Lower Decks gets its own collection after all:

It still doesn't say whether the regular models will be small or special-sized.

So they’re going to release the Titan in this line. I’m still amazed that they didn’t come up with a different design for the ship rather than just use the formerly non-canon Pocket Books design. So now people will be buying a ship they already have, just with miniscule differences.

The Armstrong in STB was modfied. IIRC, there were extra supports between the saucer and the centre hull, and I'm pretty sure it was a centre hull and not a third nacelle.

My headcanon is that it's the Kelvinverse version of the Stargazer, which was mentioned over the PA immediately after it's shown.
I’d love a version of the Armstrong with two nacelles and one secondary hull!
Also, love your idea of it being the Stargazer.

The Discovery Enterprise is mostly alright, it's just the pylons and nacelles that don't work. In general, actually, I've found that post-Ent Trek gets those wrong. The nacelles are too big or too prominent, often dwarfing the rest of the ship. Nacelles work a lot better when they're small.

I wouldn't mind on the Titan if, it was larger version with far more detail then they put on the smaller one, but that's not going to be the case so that's a big fat no.

No they don't. Look at the Enterprise-E and Voyager. The E-E looks great, but Voyager has atrophied little nacelles.

Voyager is the T-Rex of Starfleet vessels…

So, interesting update with Eaglemoss right now. Don't know if this is happening to everyone or just subscribers, but I recently got a new credit card (last month) and went through the usual gauntlet of getting everything updated, including Eaglemoss, for which I have 7 open subscription accounts. For multiple occasions in the past several weeks I've been getting the following email:
Re Account Number : XXXXXXXX-XXX

Following the initial credit card change request (which seems to have worked for all my other accounts except this one), I called no less than three additional times to get this corrected, including today. I could see where something may have been mistyped the first two times, but after getting this email so many times, there definitely seemed to be something going wrong elsewhere. Upon calling today, I was able to verify that they have apparently gotten a new financial system that holds all their customers' credit card information and a large number of people have been getting this very same email. So weird that it's only happening with only one of my accounts. Then again, the shipments have been few and far between lately, so it may be impacting other accounts and I just don't know it yet.

Just wanted to let everyone here know that things are a little wonky right now. Seems like every time they change an element of their infrastructure, like their financial system, or multiple new warehouse stand-up's in the past, everything breaks for a couple of months before they get everything straightened out.

Be well!

I'm just worried that this precedent will carry over to STP and we'll get that horrid looking thing from STO as the Enterprise-F.

Hey, the STO F isn't THAT bad. Not when you see the J.

The design is very unoriginal. That would be fine for a generic late-24th century guest starship, but for the Enterprise? No thanks. It looks like a cross between a Sovereign and an Intrepid, just like how the Titan looks like a cross between a Sovereign and an Akira. There’s nothing at all original about either design. I’ve seen ship designs at places like Sci-Fi Meshes that are both original and simply stunning, yet we end up with boring canon ships like these. Even the newest ship, the Archimedes from LDS, is nothing more than a stretched-out Excelsior with Sovereign nacelles. It’s like the designers they hire haven’t got an original bone in their bodies.

The Enterprise F design was a fan contest winner design.

I don't have any issue with it myself, I just don't like the gap in the neck. If the gap was filled in and the StarDrive section was thicker and more filled out, I'd be happier.

As far as the enterprise J, I think a mix of the Universe-class that we got and the Congo-class alternate would make a much better design IMO.

The Luna class Titan originated from a similar fan art contest for the new book series by the same name, IIRC. Similar pedigree as the E-F. If they canonized Titan using LDS, there's nothing that says they can't do it for the E-F in Picard.

That said, perhaps they'll skip that bees' nest entirely, say the E-F was short-lived, got lost in some skirmish with the Tholians or Kzinti or something, show us a whole new E-G design for the Picard era and leave it at that. I don't really much care either way myself, but I think we are far enough ahead in the timeline that it could be feasible and I've seen a lot of folks over the years really dislike that design. Easier that way, in the long run.
