Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Just got charged for a XL ship. The only ones I preordered was the Oberth and the Equinox. I assume its the equinox. But no shipment notification yet.

Oh and if anyone in the US wants ships in the Discovery line, all but 6 that are available are on sale. 1 Stations, XL sized Klingon Sarcophagus and Charon are 50 (normally 75), and all the other ships on sale are at 25.00 (normally 54). But for the next 8 hours the code spacetober gets you an additional 25% off of Star Trek merchandise that is currently in stock. So 20 for the regular line. and 37.50 for the large ones.

That's about the best price I've seen them run.

If I didn't hate the Klingon designs so much, I would absolutely get them. I did get the section 31 ships and the Ba'ul fighter that I haven't picked up yet.

The spacetober code gets you 25% off any two (and it works on more then 2) Trek ship, book, XL, Shuttle set, ect that is in stock across the Trek line. But they aren't already onsite like so much of the Discovery line on top of that.

If only they had just referred to those aliens and their vessels by a different name than 'Klingon' it would have worked out so much better...

Having few funds for fun these days I am very selective as to which ships I get- still some already issued one I have on my wish list but quite honestly some ships I simply do not care for that much- glad I didn't subscribe

It surprises me that the beautiful, vaguely Egyptian-looking (with its gold and blue highlights) Sech-class cruiser wasn't made.
(It's the one used as L'Rell's prison ship, equipped with D7-class tractor beam generators).

Also, I'm surprised that both Eaglemoss and STO gave us the chargh class, with the small command module and the humongous nacelles, instead of going for the Imho better looking Jach class (large command module).

In the US, non-sub pre-orders have been shipped: Son'a battlecruiser and Wallenberg-class tug.
I'm looking forward to pre-orders elsewhere turning "orderable".

The XL Shenzhou is finally being shipped via subscriptions. First one in nearly two months for me. Shipments have been running dry, lately.

Universe sub 6 has been delivered, including Narek’s snakehead and the USS Toussaint.

The Toussaint comes with its own magazine! The design/Making-of part is the same but it reproduces the renders of the four variants from the recently released Shipyards book.

So if anyone asks you how many variants of the Inquiry there are, you can fall back on a classic Jean-Luc reply. :cardie:

The snakehead magazine confirms the name is type, analog to warbird or runabout, as opposed to a class name (like Danube class).

Got the Equinox XL today, and while it of course has some known errors (the Bussard collectors), a flat phaser strip on the bottom of the hull, painted Bussard collectors and engine grill instead of translucent plastic, ect that weren't part of the smaller release. The details added from the smaller version as well as a nicer paint job make this a much stronger release then I was expecting. It's not Akira level awesomeness. But its a lot better than some of the other releases that didn't feature many additional elements or better detailed painting.

Oh and the Valiant shipped last week for me, was surprised I don't remember ordering it. But the 2009 JJ Trek ship that shows open to order still hasn't and I know I order that. Any one in the US get any of the three nuTrek background ships yet?

Eaglemoss posted there was a mixup between the Valiant and the Mayflower. It may say on paper you get one ship but it's the other that's getting delivered.

The Equinox is one of my favorite ships, but I think for an XL model this just isn't good enough. They really needed to correct the width of the nacelles, but they kept it and instead changed the bussard collectors to something less accurate too.
