Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I reckon that by now, the ships and their boxes make up about a quarter of the sum total of my possessions.
this weekend SNL commented about the las vegas shooter’s obscene number of guns, saying basically if you have 47 of anything, there’s something wrong with you.

and my first thought was...

thanks eaglemoss.

Wow, amazing!

Also in this vide: first mention of Warship Voyager. As Ben mentions the other announced concept ships, and Borgified Voyager, we can be sure that was not a slip of the tongue.

Stoked about Galactica! I reckon that by now, the ships and their boxes make up about a quarter of the sum total of my possessions.
I'm wondering if they're going to expand the line once again and kick it up to 175 or 200 now. They seem to keep finding new obscure ships to include.

 Yeah, I wonder if they took collectors of things into account with that statement.

In the video, Ben states the collection in total, including DSC and all specials, amounts to 200. They’re doing obscure ones but draw a like where it would not be logical. For instance, we get NCC-73602 but no other of the random unfinished Voyager concepts.

EDIT: corrected registry number.

Do you mean the NCC-73602?

The third shuttle pack is now on preorder from the uk website. I got an email saying if I used shuttle15 I could get £15 off. I used the code and it worked. I’ve also signed up for the discovery set even though I’ve not enjoyed the last two episodes, but that’s for another thread.

Yay! Pre-ordered. With the discount, it’s £60.

Huh...just got this email from Eaglemoss. Seems the "Welcome Package" is vaporware. That's a bummer. :(
Dear Star Trek: Discovery Starships Subscriber,

You may have received an email notification stating that a welcome package was on its way. There was a system error that resulted in the automatic dispatch of this email. We sincerely apologize for the mistake.

Your reservation to the Star Trek: Discovery Starships Collection is confirmed. Your first ship, the U.S.S. Shenzhou, will ship before January 31, 2018. Currently you should only see a charge of $9.95 on your credit card statement confirming your reservation to the collection.

If you have any questions, please contact our customer service by phone at toll free number: 1-800-261-6898, or by email at customerservice@eaglemoss.com.

Once again we apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you,
Robert Watkins

True, there’s leeway. The German MA is stricter and doesn’t use “Akira class” and “Miranda class”, for instance.

Edit: typo correction

I ran into the same issues with one of the NuBSG Wikis. I did up a complete set of rank devices used in the show - very comprehensive. Because the chart I did contained some conjectural ranks (which were later proven to be correct), the whole chart was rejected. I would have had to split them up as individual images, only allowing those which have been seen on-screen and associated with a rank designation in-dialog.
Heh, I remember you posting a preliminary version of that chart on some old prop forum - that I can't remember the name of any longer, but it had great discussion about BSG.
New Galactica stuff there too! A Mk 1 Viper, a Mk 2 and Nu Cylon Raider, although Ben did say they were only doing about a dozen BSG ships and not the whole Colonial Fleet :(. It looks like they're going to be relatively large so it's probably a good thing that there will be a limited run of them.
I think I'm OK with that, I'm already up to my ears in Star Trek models about a quarter of which I can't remember.

I hope we get more news on the BSG Collection soon. I’m glad it’s going ahead, and I’m really stoked for all the battlestars themselves.

Oh, yes! There were so many of those sites back then. If I were to guess, it was most likely Dewback Wing ASAP. That site was hopping with that stuff in those days as they were actually making replicas of the rank devices long before QMX had the license to do them officially. They're still around but, sadly, very little activity there any more. It feels like a ghost town to go there, which I still do on occasion. Most BSG sites are like that now, honestly, if they're even still in operation.

I do hope we get most of them, but since Ben said they were only doing about "a dozen" ships, they are going to be a little more selective on what they put out. Judging by the prototypes, it looks like they're all going to be "XL" size which will, in turn, associate "XL" prices with them, no doubt. :)

In other news, my CC just got charged $59.95 this morning. Could it be they're FINALLY sending the XL Enterprise-E out to subscribers?!? It's too early for either the K-7 or the Shenzhou (in the US) so I'm thinking...
