Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

My All Good Things Enterprise-D arrived yesterday, so with a bank holiday in there it really only took a week to arrive after ordering, not bad at all.

Looking at it though I'd forgotten how silly kitbashed it looks! :D But nah it's cool to have, looks nice from certain angles, but others not so much

I'm down for more plaques (Kelvin Trek Enterprise? USS Franklin? I'd love 1701 A, B, and C too, and heck, the Excelsior too).
I stopped my subscription earlier his year, and just pick and choose now (frankly, I'm behind, but the recent sale helped me pick a few up!).
I love the ringship Enterprise, and would hope they did it as a special, as it deserves to be a little bigger.
I hope I don't have to jump through hoops to get the concept Enterprises from Ken Adam/Ralph McQuarrie.
Glad the line is still successful enough to continue; if only US customer service can get their act together...

I do understand about the customer service, while I have been lucky that all my interactions have been timely with two exceptions, and one still hasn't been resolved (missing binder). I have also never had a company that I have purchased items from that has taken so many returns from me. I think one ship I return 6 times, because it took that long to get a ship with it's nacelles close to being right (The JJ Prise special, boy that was a mess)

But I have has for many a replacement for windows not aligned, nacelles out of wee, a few damaged ships. And they have never not made the replacement. I do have to give them props for that.

Ok at this stage of the game, what ships are left that you are just dying to get that haven't been announced.

1. Jem'Hadar Battleship
2. Merchant Man (biased but I love freighters, and axillary craft), but even without my bias that model has been done to death on the film and shows, and never been released. Get it made.
3. Kazon Ship (Don't like them, but they were a huge part of two seasons of a Trek show with at least 3 or four ships to choose from), now I do think it will happen but it hasn't happened yet.
4. Vidian Ship (same as above, though to a much smaller degree). This is very, very likely as they have had a CGI artist already recreate the ship. So I think its a sure thing.
5. Space Dock (I mean seriously, this is still a model that Ben hasn't mentioned as being seriously considered). Just like Freighters I love stations, gives my ships something to be around.
6. A real Borg Cube.
7. Cardassian Freighter (orr even the green Klingon Version, but actual would prefer the original and more used Cardassian version).
8. The last two Klingon Cruisers from Enterprise one was used in several episodes, the other was designed for Unexpected, but they ran out of time in production to finalize design and build CGI model. If they can build the NX01 refit which was never intended by producers and never went through any level of design approval, then they can produce a ship that was ordered and was partway through the approval process. I expect one will be made.

Now their are several ships, stations, shuttles I would love to have get made. But the 8 above are what I consider must haves, not just wish ships I want the most.

Jem'Hadar Battleship and the Klingon D5 from Enterprise are the two I most want.

So for the big Issue #50 they had the 1701, but what do folk think they'll do for #100?
I was trying to think of what "big" ships they could even do, seen as there aren't really any left all I could of was the Enterprise ring ship, just to get an Enterprise in there. But working out the issue will be out in early June 2017, maybe it could be the Discovery from the new show?

HOOOORAAAAY!!!

The store finally got in my Saber class today. I'm looking at it right now. What a perfect day for it to arrive.

They really did a good job on this one. I'm really happy to say I now have one of each of the "First Contact four".

1) Agreed.
2) Really agreed.
3) I wouldn't cry myself to sleep over the lack of any Kazon ships. There are others I'd give priority to.
4) I assume you mean the season 2 Vidiian ship. The season 1 one was actually a redress of the Merchantman. I'd like that one too.
5) I don't know that their reluctance is when it comes to stations.
6) "Real" how?
7) I assume you mean the Groumall. I'd like that one too.
8) The one from several episodes is the D5. It's actually, for all intents and purposes, the only remaining Klingon ship (the modified Cardassian freighter doesn't count IMHO).

I think I'm mentioned my wish list before (which includes some of these) so I won't subject you to it again.

Good day, but I think time to sleep. :mallory:

Well, I took advantage of the Trek Anniversary sale and bout DS9 before it sold out. I went to buy back more models tonight(the pasteur and the nebula class, a lot of other ones were sold out) and the sale apparently ended before midnight :klingon: probably going to get the kevlin/nx refit at some point. waiting for the store to get restocked on a lot of different models.

Patiently waiting for DS9 to arrive. It's my first purchase through Eaglemoss (got the Equinox at a flea market) and I hope that there are no...shipping issues.

edit: I also just caved in and bought the Delta Flyer on ebay. $20 + $5 shipping. not a bargain but ill take it none-the-less considering eaglemoss usually charges $21.95 + shipping. should be here in the next week or so..

and the collection grows.....lol:vulcan:

Eaglemoss did a live broadcast of a panel at Star Trek Mission New York and there was a lot of new info.

  • Series extended to 130 and this probably means the Wolf 359 fleet will be made
  • Saratoga, Medusan, Suliban Cell Ship, ECS Horizon and Kyushu are issues 91-95
  • Titan and the Aventine will be made
  • Another shuttle set of TNG type 7, TNG type 15, Star Trek VI executive shuttle and NX shuttle pod. Third set possible.
  • Next specials are Franklin, Kralls ship,09 Klingon Battleship and K7. Jellyfish at some point.
  • McQuarrie Enterprise will be made
  • Can't discuss Discovery
  • More plaques being made
  • Nothing planned from Animated Series
  • SS Yorktown NCC-1717 con exclusive possibly for subscribers as well ?

"Welcome to the real world."

You can hope all you want, it's like Russian roulette with Eaglemoss.
No doubt, I once received a smashed ship from them where the exterior box was pristine, which was doubly annoying.

Don't even ask how I managed to end up with not one, not two - not even three - but four Breen Warships; even I can't figure that one out. Two I can explain - it was on backorder, and the customer service rep thought something was wrong with how the system was processing my backorder as the ship was back in stock; something must not have been wrong afterall. The other two...no idea, unless they got confused in one of my later phone calls to check up on the status of my order.

I have just subscribed to the Starships collection and have a question I have not been able to find the answer to anywhere.

Does Eaglemoss offer past special editions to new subscribers. For instance I really want to get my hands on the DS9 model which was special edition 1. Do they offer these at any time to new subscribers or did you have to be a subscriber at that point in time to get one?

They're not free as part of the subscription, so I imagine you'll have to source them yourself, best talk to Eaglemoss though.

I was wondering if the offer the past special editions to you at cost of course as they do with new ones but I will call them up at check to make sure. Thank you

I notice it's been quite a while since the Canadian website's been update. The list on there only goes up to about issue #40, for Pete's sake.

Yes, they have done so for me.

I have three different subscriptions to this collection and all started at different times.

I am a US subscriber (just in case their is a regional difference). But what happened to me is that I got the specials when they would have been released.

For example if the 1st special came out around issue 12 (I am guessing here, I honestly don't remember). Then I would get that special when I was at issue 12.

But new release specials (the ones that are just coming out) I got the option for at the same time as everyone else. So there were times that I got two different specials very near to each other, which I didn't budget for.

One other thing to remember at least this has happened to me. On a couple of occasions (I think twice so far) on my later subscriptions I have hit issues or specials that were out of stock. Eaglemoss generally waits until they reach a certain threshold before they reruns production of a ship. So you can run into some occasional delays.

For myself the last one I had was for the Defiant, had to wait 3 additional months, but thanks to that delay got the run that had the decals done correctly.

Good day, but I think time to sleep. :mallory:

3) I don't love any of the Kazon or Vidian designs, but especially in the Kazons case their is no other major race that made as many appearances that hasn't had a ship released yet. And that they were original not kit-bashed creations makes it a double needs to be done.
4) Yes I mean the ship used in season two. And we this one is pretty much a sure thing.
5) Ben has stated on twitter that he doesn't think the public has any interest for stations. Of course he said the same thing about shuttles, and now they are considering doing a third set of shuttles.
6) Not the crappy gift Borg Cube. I know we had the tactical cube (and I really like the look of that). But I think as often as the cube as been used, and its importance in several significant episodes of 3 series, one film should earn it a spot. Would be happy with either the model design used for Best of Both Worlds and Emissary (I have heard it isn't the same model made for Q-who, but I honestly don't know if that is true or not), or the model used for First Contact.
7) That's the one. Normally I prefer the original use of a ship that has been modified for another race, though their are exceptions.
8) I can never remember if its D5 or not. But yes that is the ship. Though I kind of want the freighter design we first see it as (but only if we got the later used formation).

Hey, do any of you know where one can order specific ships in Canada? Their Canadian website is subscription only and Ebay is all Chinese fakes (at reasonable prices anyway).
