Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I've got the Enterprise C - for the most part, I don't mind the errors, I'm glad I've got an Ambassador-class starship (and from what I've read, it is perhaps quite literally all of them in one, with the Enterprise C name slapped on it). As for Deep Space Nine, I'm waiting for a 25% off sale for that one so I can save about £5 on it (it still looks really nice despite the pylon issue). Mind you, why would they angle the lower pylons the way they did so it would stand by itself? The schematics for DS9 show that they were flat on the bottom, wouldn't this have allowed the model to stand just fine?

As for my Defiant...any ideas? I have an old one with the Delta insignia error on that I could experiment with first, but I don't want to go ruining my new one.

I don't have the Enterprise-C or DS9, but I do have the Defiant. Apart from looking perhaps a bit more bright and colorful than a warship should, I really like it.

The pennant on the nacelles are facing the right way on mine, so that's not a problem. The nose section with the deflector isn't perfectly straight, but it's not really noticeable unless you look close. I like that they show it's not completely attached to the rest of the ship, but connected by a small piece, like on the show.

If yours is off enough that if bothers you (I have the same problem with the pod on the Nebula class), the only you can do, short of buying another, is to try and disconnect it and then reconnect it with some modeler's glue.

I don't recall the brand name (at work right now) but I got a really good kind that was really useful when a nacelle on my Equinox broke off.

I thought Ben Robinson would confirm some upcoming ships at SDCC, but it doesn't look like he did. :(

Did anyone record the panel?

Not seen on the show but wasn't the Defiant's nose supposedly able to be detached as an explosive weapon of last resort? It's apparently mentioned in the DS9 Avatar books.
It is shown to be a detachable warhead in the Master System Display on the bridge set.
When the first Defiant was being destroyed by the Breen I was really hoping the nose/warhead would have detached and taken out one of the Breen ships- as a final 'Fuck You!' as the ship died.

Update 3: Finally got an email from Paypal that Eaglemoss is charging me for a shipment now. It's more expensive than normal so I guess it shipping with a binder. So I'm getting May's ships a couple months late, but what can you do?

I have finally given up getting anymore models, the last one I brought was issue 34(Vulcan surak class)plus I placed a order for issue 50(original enterprise),nothing yet,as for the eagleshop store.nothing available.

Still nothing?

Edit: I also just got a response from Eaglemoss US customer service that they just got binders in and will be sending them out with the regular subscriptions if you had signed up for automatic binder purchases.

The myriad Miranda and Nebula variants would be nice. :D

There's also the Wolf 359 ships and the DS9 Frankenfleet. Soooo much left to do.

Oh there are so many left. The various kitbash Wolf 359 ships. The assorted freighters starting with the ST III Merchantman. And the DS9 main title ships.

There is also room for some variants of existing tooling. How about a Year of Hell Voyager? Or an ST II & III Battle Damaged 1701 Refit version? A Doomsday Machine USS Constellation?

Sounds like they've hit the bottom of the barrel. Are there any obvious ships they haven't yet done?

The Merchantman, the Jenolan, the Klingon D5 (only remaining Klingon ship they haven't done), the Jem'Hadar battleship, Degra's ship, the Groumall, the Xhosa, the Tellarite/Xindi-Arboreal ship, the remastered-TOS Tholian ship...

Oh, probably a hundred or so. Everything mentioned above, the Kazon ships, the Son'a ships, the T'plana-hath, the Scimitar, Borg Diamond, the Think Tank, Miradorn Raider, the T'Pau, the "mysterious black pirate ship" from that same episode... still dozens of ships from Voyager and Enterprise that were only in one episode, but are still cool-lookin' (Wisps, the Shroomie ship...) I'm also still hoping they'll do Gomtuu and the Planet Killer.

Then there's a good dozen more small craft like various shuttles that haven't been done yet. Or further stations, like Spacedock and K7, Regula...

Now that you mention it, seems odd they haven't done the Scimitar yet.

Kazon ships seem like a must, probably the ships with the most screen time still waiting a release.
