How do you like the Danube's detailing? I remember it was a contentious issue three months ago or so.

I wouldn't call it a "contentious" issue. I believe there was one person who had issue with the detailing. The comparison pictures they posted are accurate to the final design, but I don't think it takes away from the model at all. If you compare it side by side, yes you'll notice a few differences in the detailing of the cockpit, but by itself it's a great model.

I am one of the people who complained about the complete lack of paneling. The rest of the detail is good, and the design of the ship itself is one of my favorite designs for modern TV trek. Its just rather odd that the Runabout has some of the most visible paneling of any ship, and they didn't include. Heck they even have it on the micro machine version of the runabout (best way I know of knocking them for it). Heck all of the effects shots they have in the magazine its clearly visible.

I was bitching about it on the Facebook page too. The panelling is probably the feature of the Danube class and it is completely absent from the model. This leaves huge parts of the model completely plain. This exact same issue plagued the TMP Refit Enterprise and that gets shit on, I'm shocked the Runabout didn't get the same response.

^^The Furuta one is considerably better when it comes to detailing imo. The colours are off, but the detailing for once is better than an EM ship.

So I sent another email to Eaglemoss to find out what the delay is as to why I have yet to be informed that they will ship my 3-nacelle Enterprise-D. A few days later I finally received a response.

I just emailed Eaglemoss about my Voyager. It came in with a lousy paint job. There are extra drips of paint on the forward section and on the underside of one of the nacells the paint is gone completely. Looks like it did not dry and got wipe off some how.
