Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I just went with the Caretaker's Array.

I guess I'm done with Master Replicas unless they release the Phase II shuttlecraft and Reliant concepts, or manage to free the Jubayr from China.

According to their Twitter the Jubayr will be available by the end of June.

315$ for the Gold E-E…YIKES.

I’d bet they only had a hand full of the XL DS9’s for it to go so quick.

Success! The order for the array went through and I was able to get the OV-165 this time. Hopefully, since it's only two individual item, I won't get another unpleasant import charge.

Upon reflection, there's not a lot left that I'm motivated to get. I'll certainly get the D-5 tanker (or at least try) and I'd kind of like the Planet Killer. Also, since I got the Orville shuttle, I'd like to get the Orville itself (don't really care what size at this point), but unless someone actually starts introducing new never-released models, I think I'm close to set.

I don't have any XL's, apart from maybe DS9 (although you could could the shuttle Surak, ring ship, and the NX-01 refits as XL's, but they never made a standard size) and don't plan to. Gold ships are certainly out of the question, nor am I really interested in anything from the newer shows or movies (apart from maybe the Bonaventure and Enterprise-F, both of which I already have)..

Would be nice if they eventually come out with some new stuff (still wondering about Degra's ship, and having a Krill ship to battle the Orville would be fun), but I suspect my wallet wouldn't mind a break.

That's cool.

I've noticed that quite frequently that if they list something that sold out immediately a second time it remains in stock for much longer (usually for days). I'm not sure if this is due to errors in their stock keeping system or what.

Apparently the holoship was initially listed at 0$. They just tweeted out that they will honor that price for anyone who placed an order before they fixed it.

Pretty solid gesture although there wasn’t much they could do.

It's probably less of a grand gesture and more that it's more expensive to have to go back and redo everything. I bet they got all of Eaglemoss' stock out of the warehouses for pennies on the dollar, so they probably have 90%+ margin on all of this stuff.

Upcoming unreleased model:
Kaylon ship, from The Orville.
Master Replicas tweeted they got somebody who ordered 8 Golden E on separate accounts but to the same address. MR cancelled 7 of those orders.

The Reliant concept is one of the ones I'm waiting for too. Fingers crossed!

I had a similar experience when they carried some of the unreleased Eaglemoss Doctor Who models before they got the Star Trek ones. Their store broke temporarily when the models dropped and applied incorrect exchange rates and no shipping fees for international orders. I got my order in during that window and they later sent an email explaining the error, but acknowledged it was their fault and in the interests of good customer service they'd allow the order to go through without any corrected charges. Saved me about €30!

The TNG shuttles and the Caretaker Array are still in stock. I guess they weren't such a draw after all. Perhaps there was plenty of stock to satisfy (1) fans of these and (2) completionists, with plenty left over?

They tweeted they had around 500 Gold 1701-Es and 1250 Arrays.

I never would have thought the gold-plated ones were that popular, and one would think that $315 price tag would be somewhat prohibitive, but I guess not on both counts.

Copy of a Facebook post by Waldo Miguez:
“Just making a quick list of items which Master Replicas has hinted they have or items which were on pre-order by Eaglemoss prior to their bankruptcy but which haven't been sold by MR yet:

STARGATE

- F-302 Fighter
- X-303 / USS Prometheus

FIREFLY

XL Edition - Serenity

THE EXPANSE

- Koto (Morrigan-class)

THE ORVILLE

- Union Fighter
- Kaylon Fighter

STAR TREK

- Reman Fighter (Scorpion class)
- Pralor Vessel
- USS Cerritos (Bonus or Universe size unknown)
- USS Jubayr (Courage-class)

Is there any hinted but missing from the list?”

^ I want them all.

I have the Pralor/Cravic ship from GamePrint already, also gold. This would give me two golden Automated Personnel Unit battleships. My plan is to get two APU battleships and repaint one.

I saw online that people are receiving the Phase II shuttle concept and not the TOS Jeffries concept, the former is what they originally said was going to be dropped, while the latter is what was listed on drop day. I was primarily interested in the Phase II as I already had the TOS one. However, I ended up ordering a second TOS on drop day, so I'll probably be only guy who will be happy that they screwed it up.

USS Cerritos (Bonus or Universe size unknown)
Presumably the same size as Titan and Vancouver, so I guess Universe.

Even though they were taking preorders for the XL Serenity, I think Robinson tweeted it never actually entered production.

I've got the XL Discovery/SNW Enterprise and the XL Discovery on their way, which should just about fill in my prime timeline Constitution Enterprise collection! Looking forward to lining them all up.
