Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Lol I got my second model today, the Stargazer. Didn't realise how big it was going to be, about double what I'd thought. I figured they were like slightly bigger matchbox toy sizes, so these look pretty dope. I think I'm going to get the nebula-class and miranda-class models too.

I'm kind of surprised that Janeway's SC-4 shuttle isn't in this. And that the Enterprise D captain's yacht is, even though both the Cousteau and the Aeroshuttle were regular sized models. And still no ENT inspection pod...
Very disappointed about the Inspection Pod and that so far only the stupid armored version of Janeway's shuttle so we get no real detail. Heck for that matter why the hell don't we actually have a shuttle that matches TNG shuttle used in seasons 1 -4, instead of the concept design of the shuttle that wasn't ever used for filming????

Since they're all manufactured and shipped from China, it's not likely to happen any time soon, sadly. Eaglemoss said they're going to send out what they have remaining in their warehouses and that's likely to be it until the supply lines start reactivating again. :(

Oh, damn, that's really bad! FFS, I hope that this was a simple one-off accident and they're not all jacked up like that...:guffaw:

The gold-plated models are a good example of a simple repaint/money grab. Very sad. More sadly, my collector's OCD must have them at some point - bastards! :(:scream:

I see what you're saying with that. I agree that the error does seem to add an intriguing element of length and sleekness to on otherwise rather stubby design (compared to, say the refit, the Excelsior or E-E). However, seeing that model after experiencing over 30 years of indoctrination on how this particular ship is supposed to look, is like hitting one's finger with a circular saw (which I've done - it's not pretty, and it's quite jarring!)

1. Ent-D Captain’s yacht
2. Cyrano Jones’s Spacematic from “Trials and Tribble-ations”
3. Starbase shuttle from “1110011100”
4. Cargo shuttle from the TNG Tech Manual
The Spacematic looks like the lovechild of the BSG Mk2 shuttle and the Ark II

I think the $200 pays more for the plating process than for the .01 ounce of gold that’s actually on the model.
