Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

Cool that they're doing Regula I. I wonder what else from the canon shows they have planned after the end of the regular line.

By the way, I noticed that the Orville models have a small copyright mark embossed on their underside, something they were seemingly able to avoid with the Star Trek models. I wonder why the license holder would insist on such an unseemly mark.

I've noticed that anything which is out of stock on the UK website is just missing from some of the other ones, most relevantly for me being the EU site.

Whenever I've ordered ships recently, I've gotten them from the UK site and had them sent to the local Parcel Motel, even with that included, it comes out cheaper in Sterling that in Euros, and it's a lot quicker.

Thought it might be worth to quote (steal from) Michael Curran again. It’s a good overview of what is to come is Eaglemoss:
“Keep seeing the collection is ending post..

Its not ending, all future standards will be within the bonus line basically pay £19.99 each
be released around 1 every 3 months.
Specials are still going.
XL will much likely carry on at a slower rate.
Shuttle Pack 7 out in December.

Disco Line will take around a year gap and probably might get some se1 klingon ships who know?

2021 will see more Orville get some Alien ships

BSG will likely keep going

Novels will get there final 20 book extension hopefully

Herocollector are releasing more books with some fun entertaining books also.

Picard se1 ships will start around January.

Lower Decks ships probably July 2021.

Aliens Ships probably have a few ships left.

Who knows we might get star trek vehicles lol

Yes the stss subscription has ended but there is so much more to come and also other lines resently announced and few not.

Do expect gaps in some collections because of COVID-19”

The Memory Alpha page suggests one of the TBA Online ships is the RRW Aelahl - so glad they've included it as it's an extremely cool design building on the D'deridex. I don't like many of the new STO Rommie ships but this one's a beauty. And while there is an STL file for 3D printing it, my printer does NOT like it.

Why doesn't your printer like the Aelahl?

The Orville arrived today and I took a couple of photos with it. It's a lovely model and an awesome design, but there are a couple of spots where they botched the paint job and although this is a recurring theme with the XL models, I would have expected it to have a somewhat higher level of detail. But still, on its stand on my desk it just looks awesome, as I hope you can see in the photos.

The biggest disappointment, however, is the magazine, which has zero content about the design process of the ship or how they built the physical model. A real bummer, as that's one of the things I most look forward to in the magazines.

I doubt I'll get into the Orville line, but I do enjoy the show and that is a beautiful model of the ship. Thank you for posting that!
I doubt I will get more than the Orville herself as well. I'm curious how the model for the Krill ship will turn out, but other than that I don't think I'll need more.

I really wish they would somehow do a “Various Sci-Fi Ships” line like many have proposed in the past. Figuring out the licensing rights would be a nightmare, I suppose, but there are just so many hero ships I would love to get as an Eaglemoss model, like the Valley Forge, the Red Dwarf, the Serenity, the Event Horizon, the Jupiter 2 (any of its incarnations, really), Babylon 5 … :sigh:

B5 would be awesome, but they would all need to be built from scratch, and I’m afraid they wouldn’t see the ROI on that effort.

They might be able to make some serious coin if they expand to Japan through Deagostini and move to anime mech. I would suggest Space Battleship Yamato as a starter. My wife would hate me. :)

They've said they looked into B5, but that WB just gave them a flat no. Not too surprising, someone over there still really loathes B5 and they won't let anything be done with it.

Does it include orthographic renders of the ship?
