Ended up buying Spacedock. The specials on my subscription are so behind I usually just skip them on the sub & buy from the webshop.

I have Spacedock! Haven't opened it yet as picked up in town.

No sign of Disco-price though. There is still tomorrow or Saturday before the Christmas shutdown. - Christmas Eve is a possibility, but we won't be about.

Got the Discoprise today. Quite a nice model. It says on the cover that it’s 442.06 meters long so it’s using the actual cgi scale from the cgi department as reference. Probably won’t be true if that graphic from the BTS is shown in a episode proper.
Took some pictures just for the fun of it by itself, and other Enterprise’s.

Still love the look of it.

Ah, I noticed that recently. Wondered if it was the models.

It’s nice, don’t get me wrong. It’s just wrong for Prime. Still wished they used the original. It still looks good in this fan made video of that scene. Just needs some lighting.

So PhotoBucket is watermarking all pics for the privilege of allowing them to be hosted on their machines now? Must be their "compromise" for allowing remote linking. Ugh. So glad I went to ImgUr.

The graphic isn't accurate, it takes numbers right from the FJ tech manual which don't work with the proportions of the DSC Connie.

But if it’s shown in a episode, it becomes on screen canon.

Not if other on screen canon contradicts it.
    Which it already has.

The screen stuff seems to be from a later episode so that contradicts that. :)

I'm probably gonna pass on the disco ball there  (though if anyone ever gets a chance, it'd be neat to have Clint Howard sign the magazine or base).

The merc ship looks interesting. Surprised they didn't call it the Miradorn ship (not sure if they made any changes to the model between appearances). I already have that one in Micro Machine form. For those who get this one, try looking at it from straight up. Once you see a rotisserie chicken, you'll never be able to un-see it! :guffaw:

Still hoping for the Lakul, the Groumall, Degra's ship, and the Bajoran scoutship.

Evidence points to it being from Episode 1.

And Burnham in the video already contradicts the screen by saying there is 203 crew members, not 429 like the screen says.

So it’s bigger and has less of a crew? Something is very wrong.
The screen states that the ship is offline so it could be in for repairs. Perhaps even getting refitted.

203 is the crew count from The Cage. So it isn't 'less crew' for this time period.

We see worker bees or whatever inspecting the ship in the very first trailer as the Discovery warps off.

That was 2 years ago though. Things could be different now.

Or they could be the same which is what Burnham's line points to.

    And it was 3 years.

203 is the crew they had at the time of the Cage. It can support up to 429. It didn't physically double in volume between Pike's era and Kirk's, but perhaps a more efficient use of living and working space were implemented during one of the refits that also included the upgrading of the warp nacelles, main navigational deflector and bridge module.

Are you sure? The TOS version is 289m, the Disco version 442m. Something weird is definitely going on:lol:

*we never got a canon-length for Kirks Enterprise though.
Neither of the Disco-Enterprise so far (it's all just tie-in material, and in case of Kirk's Enterprise the 289m is wrong anyway, because it was based on an early Jeffries-sketch where the ship was half the size it later had on the show).

What a nice surprise, the Discovery Enterprise just arrived, tracking said it would be next week. There was a note Eaglemoss saying one or more items had been delayed or backordered. I assume it's the magazine since it's not in the box. It happened to me when I got the Titan. Overall I'm pleased with the Enterprise, except for the stand. It's thicker than the one for the TOS Enterprise, but it tilts down and to the left. I'm sure it's nothing that putting some glue in the bottom of the stand and letting it set wouldn't fix.
