Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

If the Jumbo E is the Nemesis Refit I will probably get one. I have the original as a Bandai lighted model which works fine for me. The nemesis Refit has enough differences, most importantly the altered nacelle position, that i would like to have one for my shelf...

I bet it's the FC version. It kinda always is. :ouch:

I hope not- the Refit has the engines in a much better stance- for me it makes the ship look meaner.
That, the added chines around the main shuttlebay plus more cowbell with the added phaser strips and photorp launchers- it is how the ship should really look.

I suspect that, if they can dig up the CG meshes they used in Insurrection/Nemesis, they'll probably use those. They always try to take the path of least resistance when it comes to favoring an existing CG model over a studio miniature, especially if it may not be available to 3D scan any more. Look at what happened with the thin-hulled Stargazer debacle, after all.

Can't say I ever really noticed the differences in the appearance of the Enterprise-E from movie to movie. Must be really subtle. Can you make out which version it'll be from this image?

I think that's the First Contact version. The Insurrection one had darker grey hull colouration, and the Nemesis one had higher nacelles and loads more photon torpedo launchers.

I love how they're doing the DS9 Frankenfleet and the Wolf 359 ships.

I hope they do the USS Firebrand and the USS Princeton. I like the Constitution variant in the DS9 TM too - looks like FJ's Saladin but with the refit styling.

Yeah, got that inlet in the Raven issue I got yesterday (nice model!). Kind of a strange wording in the text. I'm not quite sure what they are even trying to say. That the series is continued past issue 70? Yeah, was there reason to believe it wouldn't? And why put images of models on it that probably won't be released for quite some time in Germany? Also, the text almost seem like it was an originally English text that was automatically translated in something like Google Translate. I mean, nobody says “fortführen” in that context.

Good to have confirmation on the Titan. Lots of interesting designs coming up with the BoBW ships, but that has to be my most anticipated one at present.

I just left London yesterday, managed to get the mega E-D and the mirror defiant. Was hoping to also get the mega TOS-E or the second shuttle pack but fortunately someone posted about a deal for the mega TOS-E that including shipping came in at the cheapest I'd seen anywhere so I got that one instead. Pretty happy trekkie right here.
