Star Trek: Starships Model/Magazine Subscription

I ordered the Tholian Ship directly from Eaglemoss using that wonderful discount code. Today the package arrived- with a COMPLETELY wrong item.

Instead of a Starship replica, I received "Piglet Silicone Cake Mold" - a rather hideous piece of pink rubber of a pigs face. I called the customer service and they are trying to sort things out.

I first though tit was some weird packing support protesting the replica but then I noticed the only other thing in the box was that letter.

Out of all the things I have seen Eaglemoss produce, this was the last thing I would have expected.

I forwarded them the PayPal invoice and should be getting a confirmation plus shipping into to send this Pig-Face-Thing back to them.

Does anybody have some good pictures of the Tholian they have so I can look at something until this is straightened out?

Anyone else only get one ship this month? I didn't get the Sabre. E-mailed, they said it was a mistake, but I'm confused as hell on when the Sabre will be coming now... grr...

How can this company still have so many customer service issues after all this time? It's kind of ridiculous...

Ben Robinson just posted these amazing photos of the prototype of the NX-01 Refit model. This looks like it will be even more awesome than the already spectacular NX-01 model we got. Also, the size of it!

Ships like the NX refit, the Titan, the Aventine, and the Enterprise-F may not be strictly canon, and I usually stick to that, but it might be nice to make an exception here.

While there are several designs that have been created outside of tv and film, that I might like. i don't like them being specials.

Take the NX-01, this is taking up a special slot, with a new film being released next year I assume they will be limited to making anything from that as a special as well. with only averaging two specials a year, that leaves very little production room for many legitimate creations from tv and film Trek.

Heck as much as I would like to see Probers's take on what the Ambassador class should look like, instead of what Rick did with it years alter, I still wouldn't want that to take up the space of a special.

Things like that should be an extra release, that doesn't take the place of material from the shows and movies. Heck its bad enough that thanks to the self promotion Doug has done for the NX01 refit that many a fan actually believe it was something that the producers asked for and was approved on Enterprise, and not just his own creation done after the show ended because he really never liked not having a secondary hull on a ship named Enterprise.

One question: Has anyone here gotten any of the cast or crew to sign any of the magazines? I think irishtrekkie, who posts reviews online, got Gates McFadden to sign the Pasteur mag. It'd be interesting to see that or know what they think of them.

No, but back in the day (2000s) I got some copies of "The Magazine" signed. That was such a high quality magazine. US version of "Fact Files" basically. But it was almost coffee table book quality production values; paper stock and such.

It's weird though to have, I think, a Troi and Martok autograph next to each other on one cover lol...

Hmm. Eaglemoss is running out of November to mail out Sabres to American subscribers. I guess they're coming with next month's then.

They've told me both dates as to the Sabre's release.

Eaglemoss told me this morning the Tholian ship should be to me in ten days- no idea yet what to do with the rubber pig-face-thing.

They seem understanding but somewhat overwhelmed- I do not think they were really prepared for the popularity of the Star Trek replicas.

The petition to have the Japanese Borg Cube released to other markets exceeded its 1000 signature minimum. I wonder if it will actually make anything happen now.

Disturbingly, on this Trek Collective page from September, a UK subscriber claimed to have gotten this notification from Eaglemoss in one of his shipments:

Is there a list of the models that have been edited on for the 2nd run? I know the error with the delta sheild on the Defiant has been fixed and the "tiger stripes" on the Ferengi Marauder has been toned down, and if i recall, the misspelling of Federation is fixed on the Thunderchild. Are there any others we know of?

I check every day for ships coming back in to stock. Last night, not only did I notice that they have a nice Black Friday event going on on their website, but two of the ships I really want were also finally back in stock, the Akira and the Steamrunner. Fast forward to today, and for some odd reason the discount for the ships wasn't applying on checkout. I contacted their customer service by telephone, and guess what? It's because they aren't yet back in stock, they were accidentally placed there on the system. What is more, this was 9 and a half hours ago, they said they would resolve this issue - both ships are still showing as in stock, so other people are probably wondering what is happening, and maybe even processing their orders and thinking they are getting ships...

They just don't seem to be able to get it together...I was so excited, I am having a few days off next week and thought that it'd be great to get those two ships in the post on one of my days off. Now I won't know whether or not to trust Eaglemoss whenever any out of stock ships come back into stock...
