(This is a long-running head-universe i've been working on for quite some time. As to what it IS, this is a world building exercise where Star Wars and Star Trek exist, merged into a single universe as if it was always the case. In some cases, characters are combined between worlds, sometimes they are just the character in a different situation. There's no real rule, it just depends on how things work out. It's still very much a work in progress and things change all the time.)

(Currently, timescales are still being worked out. Shorter than Star Wars, longer than Star Trek... )
Part One: Vulcan, The Jedi and the Sith
A long time ago, some Vulcans began to discover they had access to powers and abilities beyond those of others. Within short order, these special Vulcans began to seek each other out, forming small groups and eventually giving way to a larger organization. The early Vulcans who discovered these powers named the mysterious power they had access to "The Force", the members of their group becoming known as "Jedi". For some time, the Jedi of Vulcan studied their connection to The Force and increasingly began to understand it.

Some of the oldest Jedi began to take on students of their own, passing on their knowledge of The Force. After some trial and error, the Jedi had decided to formalize their education and established the Vulcan Jedi Academy. One of the founding members of the Jedi Academy was Master Surak, who had taken a keen interest in a particularly powerful trainee by the name of Ajunta Pall. Surak offer Pall special training and insight, and Pall's master of The Force grew exponentially.

Surak became concerned when Ajunta Pall took to his own studies, experimenting with aspects of The Force that no other Jedi had before. Pall realized that emotions could play a role in the effectiveness of The Force, and experimented with them. It was not before long that Pall had discovered that certain Force abilities responded to different emotional states, but negative emotional states seemed to fuel particularly powerful abilities. Pall had receded into himself, harnessing emotions such as anger, fear and hatred to unlock new abilities, beyond those of even the Jedi Masters.

Sensing a great disturbance, Surak instructed his pupil to cease his exploration of these force abilities. He was concerned that harnessing the Force is such a way was bringing out a dark side in Ajunta Pall. Pall enjoyed the phrasing of Surak's plea, and began calling his techniques "the dark side". Surak had moved beyond concern, it was plain that Pall's "dark side" was destructive and corruptive. Surak now demanded that Pall cease his experimentations. Pall disagreed, lashing out at Surak and leaving the Academy along with a group of students who had taken up similar studies.

Over some years, the influence of Ajunta Pall grew, attracting more and more students away from the Jedi Academy. Surak knew that something had to be done, Pall was growing too powerful and was becoming unhinged. Surak surmised that if negative emotions could power his "dark side", perhaps clarity of mind and the centering of oneself could power a "light side". Surak took to stoicism, eschewing his emotions to gain further insight into the Force. It worked, and the teachings of Surak began first to spread through the Jedi Academy but also to the non-force sensitive population of Vulcan. The fiery, passionate Vulcan emotions that had caused so much war and destruction, were now being controlled and used to harness the power of the Force.

Ajunta Pall and his followers took the very notion of emotional suppression as downright offensive. Surak approached his former student once more, pleading for him to return and purge his emotions. Pall replied with an attack on Surak and the rest of the Vulcan people. Although relatively small in number, Pall's forces were powerful in the Force. A terrible war raged across Vulcan, eventually resulting in an apparent victory over the "Sith", or "traitor" in ancient Vulcan. Pall embraced the title given to him and his kin by the Jedi. They would proudly call themselves Sith.

In the final moments of the war, Surak approached Pall for one last time. His forces were beaten, Vulcan was burning in nuclear fire, it was time to reconcile. Surak plead with Pall to surrender, and allow him to demonstrate the clarity of the purging of emotions. Surak was sure his gamble would work, with Pall being defeated. Pall lashed out once again, consumed by fury and hatred, killing Surak before leading the survivors of his people onto the fairly primitive cryogenic spacecraft available to them. The Sith would not submit to having their emotions torn from them, and preferred to leave behind the world that they felt had betrayed them.

Not only Sith went with Pall. There were those among the non-force sensitive Vulcans who agreed with the Sith. They had no desire to live on a world where they would be robbed of their very emotions. Together, the Sith and the Vulcan turncoats fled their world in search of a new home, far away from the tyranny of the Jedi and the teachings of Surak. As the massive vessels began to lift off, Pall spit on the world he once called home, sickened that he ever called himself Vulcan. He would lead his people, his Rihannsu, to a better world.

As the Rihannsu exodus fleet had left Vulcan, a crowd drew around Surak's lifeless corpse. They had defeated the Sith, but at what cost? Their planet was in shambles and their leader was lost. In an astounding moment, Surak's very force essence... his katra... appeared before those gathered around his corpse. In a last address to his people, he implored them to continue on with his teachings, and to take to the stars as their enemies did, for they would surely spread their darkness, the Jedi must spread the light. With that, the visage of Surak disappeared, but the Vulcan people had a purpose. They would explore the stars, seek out new life, and new civilizations, to spread the teachings of the Jedi and forever stand in opposition of the Sith.

The Sith Exodus and the Annexation of the Klingons of Korriban

Ajunta Pall, his Sith followers and the rest of the Rihannsu fleeing from Vulcan drifted the cosmos for quite some time in cryo stasis, waiting to find a suitable world to reestablish themselves. Periodically, some would awaken temporarily to analyze scanner data and maintain the pods. On on such occasion, fortune favored the Rihannsu as their sleeper ships happened upon an ancient, derelict starship on unknown origin. Many awoke and took to studying the vessel, coming to the realization that it was equipped with a faster than light drive system. While they didn't have time to understand the technology behind it, they were able to get it operational and even duplicate the technology for use on their entire flotilla. Now equipped with rudimentary FTL, the Rihannsu could truly begin their search in earnest.

Within reach of their newly acquired drive system was a planet deemed capable of supporting life. The Rihannsu exodus fleet approached the world to discover it had a primitive native population. This world was chosen to be their new homeworld, the natives to be used a servant and labor class to help establish themselves. The Rihannsu forces were able to quickly subdue the natives, although they were able to put much more of a fight than anticipated. Despite being akin to savages fighting with swords, these Klingons as they called themselves were fierce warriors. Also curious, Ajunta Pall noticed something he didn't think was possible. He could sense the Force in some of these savages. It was not something unique to Vulcans.

The Rihannsu established themselves on the world, utilizing their Klingon slaves and laborers to build up their world, which they named Korriban. The Sith established a temple to both continue their studies into the mysteries of the dark side as well as serving as their seat of power on the new world. Despite some protests from other Sith, Ajunta Pall saw fit to uplift some of the force sensitive Klingons to create more Sith. Using his mastery of the dark side, Pall was able to achieve unnaturally long life, even for a Vulcan. For several centuries, he lorded over Korriban. Towards the end of his life, he had taken on two apprentices. Both native Klingons, both wildly powerful in the force. Pall was amazed at how quickly the Klingons were able to manifest abilities, their emotions being even more powerful than those of the Vulcans. These Klingons were filled with anger and hate, perfect fuel for dark side mastery. Molor and Kahless would be placed into a state of constant competition, vying for the approval of their master.

It was apparent fairly quickly that Molor wad the favored apprentice of Ajunta Pall. Kahless, despite being a great warrior and a powerful force user, was too connected to his people. Molor no longer saw himself as "Klingon", replaced entirely by his Sith identity. Kahless never cared for the title. He was a Klingon warrior first and foremost, and hoped to use his power for the betterment of the Klingon people. Molor reveled in the power of the Sith, to the delight of Ajunta Pall. While incredibly powerful in the dark side, the march of time would eventually take its toll on Pall, who by this point had named Molor "Dark Lord of the Sith" and left much of the day to day running of Korriban to him. With Molor now effectively in charge of Korriban, he became tyrannical. What little agency the Klingon people had was destroyed, with Molor not even recognizing them as people. The Rihannsu weren't much better off. Even the other Sith bowed before Darth Molor. Pall would finally succumb to death, leaving Darth Molor as uncontested ruler of Korriban.

Kahless had enough. He realized he was wrong for ever pursuing the power of the Sith, seeing how it corrupted Molor into even more of a monster than he already was. He left the Sith Order, instantly becoming a fugitive in the eyes of Molor. Kahless returned to his people, hiding out among the population and plotting the downfall of Darth Molor. The downtrodden Klingons rallied behind him. Eventually, Kahless would command a mighty armor of Klingon rebels, ready to strike. However Kahless knew that he only he could stand against Molor himself, and he had to acknowledge that Molor was more powerful. Kahless needed an advantage. Among his retinue were former slaves working on Korriban's moon Dxun, mining a mysterious metal for the Sith. They had returned with a good amount of the material. Kahless realized what it was, he had heard about it during his time as a Sith. Pall and Molor had discovered Beskar on Dxun, a metal resistant to their weapon of choice, the lightsaber.

Kahless took the Beskar ore to a foundry, where Klingon artisans crafted a mighty weapon for him. He named it Bat'leth, the sword of Kahless. A blade of pure beskar. With that weapon in hand, Kahless stood a chance to face Molor. The uprising began. Klingons across Korriban took arms against their Sith oppressors. The non-force sensitive Rihannsu, despite also being oppressed, still took to the defense of "their" people over the Klingons, despite their leader being Klingon. The Sith were unable to withstand the waves of enraged Klingon warriors and were pushed all the way back to the Sith Temple.

Darth Molor himself emerged to fight, met by Kahless. Molor had been awaiting the day he could kill his former peer, and that day had come. Molor engaged his fiery-red lightsaber, laughing at Kahless' pitiful band of rebels. Kahless raised his Bat'leth, ready to fight. Molor scoffed, pointing out the audacity of Kahless resorting to using a simple sword to fight him. Molor went for what he thought would be an easy death blow, and was caught off guard when Kahless blocked the strike with his sword. It took Molor a moment of disbelief to realize what the sword was. The two engaged in an epic battle, trading blows and force attacks at each other. In the end, Kahless knocked the lightsaber from Molor's hand. A defenseless Molor, realizing his last moments were upon him, remembered his true heritage. He was Klingon, and was ready to die a warriors death. Kahless obliged, cleanly severing Molor's head from his shoulders with one motion from his Bat'leth.

Kahless brought Molor's head back to the Sith Temple. The Klingons had won the day, they had seized their home. Most of the survivng Sith had made it back to their old ships, ready to flee. Kahless, recognizing the honor Sith and Rihannsu alike showed in their battle, offered a one time mercy... they could present themselves and claim a warriors death, or they could leave Korriban. Nearly all of them chose the latter, loading back into their old starships that had originally brought them to their new world and leaving what they though was their new home. Some Klingon-Sith remained on the planet, ready to to accept their honorable death. Kahless denied them their death in battle, instead demanding they pledge to serve the Klingon people. They would find an honorable death, but not on this day. They agreed.

In the throne room of the Sith Temple, Kahless sat upon the throne, Molor's head at his feet. The Sith who had remained bowed to him, attempting to name him Darth Kahless, Lord of the Sith. Kahless rejected the title. He was not Sith, he was Klingon. He would accept the rule of his people, but not as a Sith. Kahless declared himself Emperor, and announced the formation of the Klingon Empire. The formerly fractured planet was now in support of uniting as one under Kahless the Unforgettable. His first act was to address the remaining Sith, stripping them of their title. Kahless vowed the Sith would never rule over Klingons again. They agreed, vowing to use their abilities for the betterment of the Klingon Empire, shedding their old Sith title. They took the title of "Dahar Master", in honor of ancient, mythological Klingon warriors with abilities beyond those of normal warriors. The former Sith Order of Korriban would reorganize into the Order of the Bat'leth, commemorating the weapon that felled Darth Molor.

The Sith regalia was removed, and the old Sith Temple would become the Great Hall of the Klingon Empire. Now armed with advanced technology from their Sith oppressors, the Klingon Empire was set to become more powerful than they could have ever imagined. As the last vestiges of the Sith were destroyed, there was one last order. Korriban, the name given to their planet by their oppressors, would now be a cursed word among Klingons. The planet would be renamed to Qo'nos, the name given to their world by their ancestors.

The Sith fleet once again found themselves displaced from their home, searching for a new world among the stars. Their ancient vessels were in disrepair after centuries of neglect, they needed to find a new world quickly. With little time to spare, they found a hostile world that could... just barely... support life. They landed once again to find themselves a new home. This world would become known as "Exegol", although it soon became apparent that the Sith could not flourish there forever...

(More to come)

I put this one the back burner for awhile but will bump it up with a new entry, if anyone is interested. I like to jump around the timeline a bit here and do some other things. I'm going to leave the Sith/Romulans alone for now...

The Mandalorians and The Invasion of Qo'nos

On ancient Earth, in an attempt to create better version of themselves, scientists had engineered a race of superhumans. These "Augments" as they would become known as were expected to lead humanity into a more prosperous age. However, with superior ability came superior ambition, and rather than selflessly leading humanity, they seized power across the world, created vast empires and eventually took to fighting amongst themselves.

The augment empires were eventually toppled and humans reclaimed their world. The last augment survivors, Khan Noonien-Singh and his followers, fled in one of Earth's primitive sleeper spacecraft into the vast unknown of space. The humans were unable to give chase, but were satisfied that Khan and his cohorts would be forever imprisoned, frozen and lost in space.

However, at some unspecified point in their journey, a Jedi starship happened upon the vessel in deep space. Out of curiosity, the Vulcans studied it and realized that there were people on board. After ensuring it would be safe to do so, the Vulcans awoke some of the crew and made contact. The augments were awestruck at first, having never encountered aliens before. However once the small group who had randomly awakened gained their bearings, they decided to take advantage of their situation.

The group played nice with the Vulcans, attempting to come off as completely nonthreatening. In reality, the augments were hatching a plan to hijack the advanced starship from them. The augments began to quietly begin the process to awaken more of their peers, although the leader decided against bringing back Khan. He considered it to be fortune that Khan had not been one of the people randomly chosen, and saw fit to keep it that way. With enough Augments awakened, they struck at the unprepared Vulcans. A Jedi onboard tried to fight them off but was overcome by numbers. The augments killed the Vulcan crew and had taken their vessel, equipped with warp drive. After transferring their people and whatever supplies they could... sans Khan.. they quickly learned the basics of operating the vessel and were able to correlate the Vulcan star charts with their own from Earth.

They needed to find a suitable planet quickly. The Jedi vessel was small and never intended to house as many as it was. They did manage to discover what appeared to be a suitable planet, what their Earth star charts had identified as "Ceti Alpha V". The augments made their way to the planet and found it was indeed suitable for habitation. They landed their stolen vessel and immediately started to settle a colony.

The Augments luck had seemingly just begun. Not only was Ceti Alpha V a habitable world, it had clearly been settled at some point in the past. The Augments explored and found remnants of an advanced race who had once inhabited the planet. With the help of the Vulcan computers, they were able to translate the alien language and took to attempting to reverse engineer or otherwise utilize the technology they came into possession of.

Joachim, the leader of the Augments now living on Ceti Alpha V wanted to sever all ties with humanity, the people who had driven from their homeworld. He set out to not only make a new home, but create an entirely new culture his people could unify behind. Joachim knew full well his peoples tendency for infighting and needed to create something bigger than the individual.

While exploring a complex near the colony site, Joachim found several artifacts as well as an incomplete database with fractured information on the world. While he was not completely sure, a word repeated several times and Joachim decided to rename their planet, assuming it may have been the old name. Ceti Alpha V from then on would be known as "Mandalore". Among the scattered information were what he could decipher as proper nouns, names of people. Joachim chose the new name of "Tarre Vizsla", shedding all of his former human identity. He was now Tarre Vizsla of the Mandalorians.

The other augments were not entirely convinced, although many did share the same sentiment as Tarre Vizsla did, desiring to cast Earth away. Vizsla would not take no for an answer and bestowed names upon his people, regardless if they wanted them or not. The names stuck, and now completely free of their Earth bonds, the Mandalorians evolved their own culture and traditions and purged most of the old Earth database they had brought with them. Over generations, the true origin of the Mandalorians was lost.

Tarre Vizsla worked deliberately to guide the new culture, and he wanted a symbol to unite the people. Utilizing some of the technology left behind by their ancient forebears, Vizsla modified the lightsaber weapon he had taken from the corpse of the Jedi. Rather than the blue blade it had once created, it now projected a glowing black blade. It was a striking sight, and Vizsla realized it could be the symbol of his people. He named it "Darksaber", and it would become the symbol of the leadership of Mandalore.

The Invasion of Qo'nos - The Hur'q

The Klingons enjoyed a rapid period of advancement after the Sith were forced from their world, able to utilize much of the technology left behind. Long after Kahless had united the Klingons into the Klingon Empire, but before they had really begun to expand into space, the Klingons would be tested by yet another group of invaders from the stars.

The Mandalorians had grown in size and needed more resources. They didn't have the population to create colony worlds, but they did have enough to raid worlds for their resources. After several successful raids, the Mandalorians set their sights on a new world. They landed on Qo'nos, establishing a beachhead and ready to take on the natives. The Mandalorians were expecting a quick raiding run, but the Klingons proved to be more difficult than they had thought.

The Klingons referred to the invaders as "Hur'q", and were determined to not only protect their homeworld but send a message to any other would be invaders. They had already driven one invading force from their world, they would do so again.

The battles raged for years, to the point that Mandalorians had lost focus of their initial intent. It was no longer a mere raid for resources. This war had become a matter of pride. One warrior people versus another warrior people. The Mandalorians didn't care about the resources any longer. They needed to prove themselves in battle. The Klingons were more than happy to give them a their test.

The war had come to somewhat of a standstill. The Mandalorians had a clear technological edge, but the Klingons had numbers, and the Dahar Masters proved to be particularly formidable and something the Mandalorians were not prepared for. The Mandalorians were slowly advancing, but the Klingons had made it quite clear they would fight down to the last warrior. The Mandalorians were generally satisfied with their performance, and no longer felt the need to expend the resources on the war.

The Mandalorian leader, a descendant of Tarre Vizsla, called for a meeting with the Klingon Emperor. Vizsla challenged him to singles combat to settle the matter man to man. The Klingon Emperor could not refuse such a challenge and happily obliged. The two met in front of the Great Hall of Qo'nos, harkening back to the battle between Kahless and Molor. Vizsla came equipped with Darksaber, the Emperor wielded the Sword of Kahless. Vizsla made the first strike and was caught off guard by the Klingon's sword being able to deflect his blow. The two continued to trade blows, block and parrying each other.

The gathered Mandalorian and Klingon crowds watched the battle intently, cheering on their champions. The Mandalorian warriors noticed an odd behavior among the Klingons... they were enjoying themselves. Not only that, but at that moment, there was almost a sense of camaraderie with the enemy. It was as if the war no longer mattered, only the contest between two warriors. The Klingons had taken to something a party, producing goblets of a viscous beverage the Mandalorians would soon find out to be called "bloodwine". Not only that, the Klingons actively offered the drink to their enemies.

Although locked in battle, the two leaders couldn't help but notice as well. The two temporarily halted their attacks to observe the crowd. The Klingons and the Mandalorian warriors were getting along, sharing in their revelry of battle. Both leaders shared a look, seemingly able to communicate without speaking a word. A nod was shared between the two, and outstretched hands met in and embrace. The war was over in that moment, but more importantly, a friendship was established.

Both sides had adequately proved their strength to each other. The bitter war resulted in a deep respect for each other. The two leaders instructed their men to stand down, although the actual order felt redundant and retreated into the Great Hall to discuss what would happen now. Some time later, both emerged. The war ended in a most peculiar way. The Mandalorians would leave Qo'nos, but were allowed to set up a colony on Qo'nos' moon of Dxun to mine cortosis ore. In exchange, the Mandalorians would provide the Klingons with a steady supply of the ore as well providing Qo'nos with some of their more advanced technologies. Both sides saw the exchange as a win.

As a symbol of the end of the war and a sign of trust between the two peoples, the two entrusted their sacred weapons in each others care. The Mandalorians would return to Mandalore with the Sword of Kahless, the Klingons would keep Darksaber under their protection, where both would remain for generations.

(This was long, the Mandalorian/Klingon Alliance will get it's own entry, it's important.)

(Time jump)

The Klingon / Mandalorian Alliance

With the rise of both the Republic and the Sith Empire, the largely informal alliance between the Mandalorians and Klingons became stronger due to necessity, as despite being formidable warrior cultures, they did not have the numbers to withstand a potential war with either. Even coming together as one, they were still at a disadvantage.

A human living among the Mandalorians, Arik Soong, had proposed the idea of creating genetically modified Mandalorians as a sort of super soldier. Although a talented geneticist, Soong found the Mandalorians genome difficult to work with. He would soon discover his issue was that their genome had several markers that indicated their genes had been manipulated already. The idea was in danger of being abandoned until Soong had been to task with creating a cure for a disease running rampant through the Klingon Empire. His work with Klingon genes gave him an idea, to combine both Mandalorian and Klingon genes to create his super soldiers. The Klingon genes were highly adaptive, much like the rest of Klingon biology and Soong found them to be the key to manipulating the Mandalorian genome.

Mandalorian Jango Fett and Klingon warrior T'Kuvma provided the main template for the new clone race, two examples of each peoples finest. The first group of genetically modified clones were created, blending the best traits of the two to create a new warrior race that could be quickly manufactured and help to bring their numbers to a competitive level against the Republic and Sith.

The new race were to be called "Klinzai". While clones, the Klinzai did not all share the same physical appearance. The Klingon DNA triggered mutations which tended to vary the appearance, although there were too vastly different physical archetypes of Klinzai. In some, the Mandalorian genes were dominant and created a more human-like appearance, often with a dark, almost copper-like skin tone. Those Klinzai who expressed dominant Klingon genes took on something of an exaggerated Klingon look, with pronounced bone structures, creating what some could see as an almost monstrous look. The majority of the Klinzai were of the "smooth head" archetype, with roughly a quarter expressing the exaggerated Klingon features.

Both the Mandalorians and Klingons supplied them, with the initial gearing being a total mishmash of available hardware but over time the Klinzai would refine them down to something more unique, as they were not created as simple mindless automatons, but sapient beings in their own right. While smaller vessels such as the Klingon Bird of Prey and Mandalorian gunships were ubiquitous throughout the Klinzai, the two Empires also wanted to created a new frontline vessel both as a cutting edge ship and as a symbol of their unity. The D-7 Battlecruiser was jointly developed by the Mandalorians and Klingons and became intrinsically linked with the forces of the Klinzai.

The Clones Wars and the Galactic Empire Eras

When tensions between the Republic and Sith inevitably boiled over, war erupted. A war of such magnitude would drag in other powers, with the Mandalorian and Klingons being no exception. The war began with the destruction of Dxun, which the Sith Empire provided intelligence that implicated the Republic. It would be discovered later it was all engineered by the Sith, but the in the immediate aftermath, both the Klingons and Mandalorians were outraged and moved on the Republic. The Sith Empire would join in the battle, not necessarily as allies, merely to take advantage of the weakened Republic.

The Clone Wars ended with the dissolution of the Republic, with most of it joining the Sith Empire to establish the Galactic Empire and the breakaway United Federation of Planets emerging as a holdout. Despite having largely fought on the same side through the Clone Wars, the new Galactic Empire turned its sights onto the Mandalorians and Klingons and continued on with its war. With the shift in galactic geography, the Mandalorians now shared the largest border with the Empire, while the Klingons bordered the new Federation.

The Klingons saw little distinction between the Federation and Republic and initially continued their war, although a peace was brokered when the Klingons realized the threat the Galactic Empire how posed. Their fears were realized, and the Klingons were too late to properly reinforce their Mandalorian brethren. In an unprecedented show of force, the Galactic Empire launched a massive attack on Mandalore, utterly destroying the surface of planet and sending the Mandalorian clans scattering.

Mandalorian Din Djarin, an otherwise unremarkable bounty hunter, found himself embroiled in the chaos. He was not on Mandalore at the time, but close by. He attempted to help those fleeing, and in the process led to a series of events where by pure happenstance he had acquired the Sword of Kahless. The sword had been removed from the planet by some escaping, and made its way into Din's hands. Din, mostly looking for a payday, returned the sword to Qo'nos.

Din found himself embroiled in yet more drama. Before he could make it to Qo'nos, he was attacked by Klingon forces. To add even more chaos to the disaster at Mandalore, Klingon Chancellor J'mpoc had died, leaving a power vacuum with no clear succession. Duras, a candidate for the Chancellorship, had orchestrated the attack on Din in hopes of acquiring the Sword of Kahless. Din's struggle against Duras ended with the Mandalorian being in a unique predicament... Duras had taken the Darksaber from Qo'nos. Upon Din's defeat of Duras, he was now in possession of both the Sword of Kahless and the Darksaber.

Din never wanted such power. He continued on to Qo'nos and gave the Sword of Kahless to Gowron, the other candidate for Chancellor and helped to legitimize his claim. Din had actually offered to give the Darksaber back as well, but Gowron refused on the terms that the Darksaber could only be taken from someone via combat, and that Gowron did not want to kill Din on that day. Gowron suggested Din use the Darksaber to unite the now scattered Mandalorian clans and bring them into the Klingon Empire, where they would always have a home.

Din did exactly that, and over time brought many Mandalorians into the Empire. Mandalorian society was easily integrated into Klingon society, the Clans being rough equivalents of Great Houses. The Mandalorians would come to fully integrate into the Klingon Empire, to the point that what it meant to be "Klingon" would change. "Klingon" would no longer be just a racial term to describe the natives of Qo'nos. Klingon was an idealogy. Anyone strong enough could be Klingon.

I like this

I have much, much more. Maybe i'll throw some up here.

Data's story is fun... Data merges his story and Rey, Lore is a part of it as well and is mostly Lore with a shade of Ochi of Bastoon thrown in, and we get some weirdness with the Stone of Gol.

DataRey meets up with Finn, who is basically Star Wars Finn except that he's not an ex-Stormtrooper... he's from the Mirror Universe.

I'm not super happy with what i've come up with for the fall of the Republic/turnover to Galactic Empire. Still tweaking that.

Next thing I put up here might be Picard's story. That one is less of a fusion, Picard is like, 90% Picard with like, maybe 10% Gilad Palleon, but by and large it's a completely unique story. An overview of Picard's story... there's more detail but these are the broad strokes...

Picard was a Republic Starfleet Captain in the Clone Wars, who worked closely with Anakin Skywalker. When the Galactic Empire happened, most of Starfleet chose not to support it and fled to Earth to help form the United Federation of Planets. Picard, however, stayed behind... feeling a sense of duty, not necessarily to the Empire but to its people. He didn't like the Empire, but he felt he could do more good where he was.

Picard had been attached to a fleet under Admiral Thrawn and served with distinction throughout the reign of the Empire, despite often being at ideological odds with command. Thrawn often worked to protect Picard from the wrath of others, despite not always agreeing, he did respect Picard's dedication to the people he served.

Some of Picard's hubris was due to some unique knowledge he had... Jean-Luc would, on occasion, draw the ire of none other than Darth Vader. While many other Imperial Starfleet officers would fall to Vader's anger, Picard was able to somewhat mysteriously avoid his direct wrath. Picard knew Darth Vader's secret; his true identity as Anakin Skywalker. Picard used this knowledge to keep Vader from outright erasing him, partly through something of blackmail, and partly through appealing the last shred of decency in his old friend. On at least one occasion, when faced with the ire of Vader, Picard calmly asked "what would Padme think of you right now?"

Upon the fall of the Empire, Picard was faced with a dilemma. He wanted to continue to serve the people, but he also knew that since he had remained loyal to the Empire to the end, at least in the eyes of the New Republic, he would not be accepted within the new order. Rather, he fled with Thrawn into the Unknown Regions to establish the First Order, where he was hopeful he could help more people and guide the remnants of the Empire into something better.

The fall of the Galactic Empire also led to the rise of the Romulan Star Empire in the former Sith Empire territory, with a side effect of the expulsion of all non-Romulans. The New Republic did not have the resource to help with the humanitarian crises, dealing with mopping up the Imperial remnants in their space, while the UFP wanted to help but was largely tied up assisting the Republic. The First Order emerged, taking the lead into evacuating the refugees into the Unknown Regions to bolster the First Order.

The the influx of population, the First Order was able to evolve from a military junta into a full fledged empire, having now also absorbed the Chiss Dominion into their ranks. However, the Dominion would prove to be end for Picard's involvement. The mysterious Snoke emerged with his Knights of Ren, and the Chiss believed him be one of the Founders of the Dominion. A power struggle ensued in the First Order. Thrawn and Picard's control had always been tenuous at best, with the rest of the ruling council consistently at odds with them, in particular Brendol Hux, Edward Jellico and James Leyton.

The arrival of Snoke shifted the balance of power. The Chiss were no longer willing to be subjects of the First Order, as their true leader had returned. They accepted being a part of the First Order as Thrawn was one of them, but in the end he was just a man, Snoke was a living god. Hux, Jellico and Leyton threw their support behind Snoke. The Chiss uprising, backed up by the Knights of Ren, deposed Thrawn and Picard. Thrawn's vessel disappeared into the Unknown Regions. Picard was able to quietly escape through the newly discovered wormhole, finding refuge on Earth, where would quietly retire to a rural vineyard to live out his days... (but that's likely not the end of the story...)

Sort of a general lore note... the Chiss are fused Chiss/Vorta. The Knights of Ren are straight up Jem Hadar, and once Snoke takes control of the First Order, he starts cloning them en masse to augment the Stormtroopers. I think i'll leave it ambiguous as to whether or not Snoke is actually a founder or not. In this version, he is definitely not an attempt at a Palpatine clone. That's a different story. Snoke is just a mysterious dude who shows up in the Unknown Regions (essentially, Gamma Quadrant) with a bunch of Jem Hadar.

There is a Dominion War stand-in that happens after Snoke arrives, we call it the First Order War.

A few notes on that topic...

Deep Space Nine exists, in the Ryloth system. As the Galactic Empire rose, the Cardassians wanted to prove their loyalty and offered to conquer/administrate Ryloth. Palpatine allowed it, and the Cardassian Occupation of Ryloth began. When the Empire fell, the Cardassians could no longer support the occupation and withdrew from Ryloth. The Twi'leks opted to not join the New Republic or the Federation, but they did need help. The Federation offered to help them recover, and took over the administration of what was now called Deep Space Nine. Shortly after the Federation's arrival, the Rylothian wormhole was discovered, providing a link into the Unknown Regions.

Sisko is straight up Sisko. There's no fusion there, just Ben Sisko.
Kira is almost a 50/50 split of Kira and Hera Syndulla.

After the First Order War, the saga culminates in something that sort of merges Picard Season 3 and Rise of Skywalker.

The events of the original Star Wars trilogy happen, kinda of sort of merged with the TOS Movie Era movies. I don't focus on them too much directly yet, still a work in progress. The most important thing there is Kirk, who is a fusion of Kirk and Luke Skywalker. The short version of that is that James Kirk IS Luke Skywalker, son of Anakin Skywalker. He is taken by Obi-Wan to Earth, to live on a farm in Iowa with Obi-Wan's good friend George Kirk. George Kirk adopts the child as his own and renames him James Kirk. Kirk's early story is largely that of just straight up James Kirk, although generally more in the vein of the Kelvin Timeline.

Like I said, still a work in progress. I know Kirk gets to be Captain of Enterprise, probably in a somewhat similar manner to the Kelvin Timeline. He ends up getting roped into the Rebellion, leaving behind Starfleet and joining up to fight the Empire. The Empire is planning to use the Death Star to destroy Vulcan, the ancient home of the Jedi, and the Rebellion is trying to stop it. They had no idea HOW.

Kirk comes up with a plan to utilize the Genesis Device, which last he knew, was stored on Enterprise. Han Solo helps to smuggle Kirk back across the border into the Federation, and Kirk needs to steal the Enterprise. He makes the case to his old crew, who decide to go with and help him.

After they steal Enterprise, they get sidetracked by Khan, who attacks the ship in an attempt to steal Genesis. Plot occurs, the Enterprise makes it back to the Rebellion, much later than anticipated. The Rebels had no choice, they're already assaulting the Death Star, which is now in range of Vulcan. At seemingly the last moment, the Enterprise arrives, flanked my the Millennium Falcon to help save the rebels. Despite Enterprise having been badly damaged in their fight with Khan, Kirk manages to get it into position, fire off Genesis, and destroy the Death Star.

(I have bits and pieces of the next parts, but honestly I think the stand ins for Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi happen largely as they do, just with same names and places swapped around. I kind of want the Pakleds to replace the Ewoks.)

Another lore note, I make note of Republic, Federation, etc... here's the basic breakdown of faction timelines.

Romulans/Sith leave Vulcan, wander around for awhile, eventually settle on Romulus and establish an Empire, stopping at a very planets along the way. One of them being Korriban/Qo'nos, another Exegol. In this universe, "The Rule of Two" establishes two distinct Sith lineages... the Sith Empire, and Exegol.

The Klingon Empire emerges after overthrowing the Sith.

The Mandalorians emerge after the Augments leave Earth.

There is an Earth-Sith Empire War that ends up bringing many different factions together to form The Republic.

The Republic, Sith Empire, and Klingon Empire/Mandalorian Alliance exist concurrently. (there are other factions, like the Hutt Syndicate.)

Clone Wars happen, i'm still working on EXACTLY what happens but essentially the Republic and Sith Empire kind of... merge. As of right this moment, the idea is that Palpatine is a Sith, controls the Republic. The war really beats up the Republic, the Jedi find out he's Sith and attack, Palpatine flees into the Sith Empire... and upon revealing he's Sith and the plot against him by the Jedi, the Sith Empire "surrenders" to him, the Clone Troopers Order 66 and flip sides. He is still Supreme Chancellor of the Republic... and now with both states under his belt, he declares the formation of the united Empire. (Best I got so far)

The Federation had been tossed around during the Clone Wars, as kind of a nuclear option if Palpatine went off the deep end. Shortly before the declaration of the Galactic Empire, Earth and several other worlds formally secede from the Republic and form the United Federation of Planets. Earth implores Starfleet to return to Earth, most of it does, leaving the Empire severely weakened.

Federation and Galactic Empire sign a peace treaty... Palpatine doesn't quite have the forces to attack while still consolidating the Empire and quelling unrest in his territory. The one demand is that no Jedi be given quarter in the Federation, the Federation agrees. Section 31 forms with the primary mission of keeping Jedi out of Federation territory, believing Palpatine will honor the treaty as long as the Federation does as well.

So for a time, the galaxy is broken up The Galactic Empire, The UFP, and the Klingon/Mandalorian Alliance.

When the Galactic Empire falls, the New Republic rises. The UFP stays independent, but allied. The former territory of the Sith Empire becomes the Romulan Star Empire under Shinzon, and they expell all non-Romulans (kinda sort of a Hobus stand-in, but with humans rather than Romulans). Imperial Remnants go into the Unknown Regions/Gamma Quadrant, form the First Order, which eventually becomes a First Order/Dominion hybrid.

Borg are around too.. there's a story there...

One really oddball character I want to implement is Wesley Crusher, who is kind of a jumbled mix of Wesley Crusher and Grand Inquisitor. Basically, he was a Jedi Youngling right at the end of the Clone Wars. He was saved by a mysterious force-being known as The Traveler, who took him to safety and trained him. Crusher returned to the Empire after some time, was recruited into the Inquisitorious, eventually becoming the Grand Inquisitor.

The Rise of Data

One the ancient and secret Sith world of Exegol, the cult of the Sith Eternal worked tirelessly to bring back their lord Palpatine. His force essence had been temporarily contained, but it needed a vessel to truly be reborn into the world. They had hoped that one of their own could contain his essence and become his host, but even their heavily cybernetic bodies could not handle the sheer power (Note: the Sith Eternal are like, Sith Borg). They attempted to clone the Emperor, but the pure dark side energy would eat away at them quickly.

The Sith Eternal had hired a scientist loyal to the Empire to assist. Noonien Soong tried several approaches but ultimately, none had proven successful. However, Soong had an epiphany... rather than a biological organism, perhaps he could create a synthetic being to house the essence of Palpatine. More than simple droid, this artificial life would mimic life in every way. His idea was met with resistance, as Palpatine needed to feed upon life.

After several attempts, Soong believed he found the one. Its codename was "Reanimation Evaluation: Yirt", an android so incredibly lifelike that it seemed to mimic life. The essence of Palpatine was able to sense it... Reanimation Evaluation: Yirt... was connected to the Force. Palpatine's spirit inhabited the android. The body held, it could withstand the energy. However, Palpatine immediately realized it wouldn't work. The body he now possessed had no emotion. Without being able to draw from anger, hate, and fear, his dark side powers were useless.

The Sith Eternal withdrew Palpatine's essence from RE:Y, and the unit was ordered to be destroyed. Soong, however, felt too much pride for his creation. He told the cult he would dispose of him personally, but rather than deactivate him, Soong smuggled the android onto a garbage scow, to be taken away from the world and hopefully given a chance.

-Some time later

Rey lived on the outskirts of Paradise City on Nimbus III. He had little memory of who he was or where he came from. When he awoke one day, he was in a jump suit simply emblazoned with "RE:Y", thus he took that as his name. He lived there for some time, learning from the natives and helping out wherever he could.

One day, a Starfleet vessel arrived on Nimbus. They had discovered Rey and found him to be a curiosity. They were even more shocked when he asked them to him with them. The Starfleet captain obliged. Rey would go on to find a purpose, attending Starfleet Academy and receiving a commission in Starfleet. While at the Academy, other students were impressed by his analytical ability, and gave him the nickname "Data". Given that he was unsure if "Rey" was even his name, he took to calling himself that as well.

While on assignment in the Ryloth sector, Data had discovered strange readings through the wormhole. It appeared to be a massive fleet staged on the other side. Data tried to bring the information to the attention of the captain, but he was turned away. Nobody else had discovered anything, nor had DS9. But Data could... feel that there was a problem that needed to be investigated. He employed the captain to hear him out, but he was told to drop the issue.

As Data retreated to his station, he was pulled aside by a young security officer. Data recognized him, Mr. Finn. Starfleet serial number FN2187. Finn told Data that he was right, there was something on the other side of the wormhole. Finn then explained his situation, that he was not from this universe. He had originated in the mirror universe, where the Terran Empire was at war with the Dominion, who had come through the wormhole. Finn was relieved when the accident brought him to this universe, but was concerned that this universe would now suffer the Dominion attack, and would be unprepared for it. He also told Data they needed to leave the ship, as if his intuition was right and things were similar enough to his universe, the captain was a Dominion plant.

Data and Finn quietly boarded a shuttle and headed towards Republic space. Finn had already made some contacts, and they were to meet with Resistance fighters Poe Dameron and Chakotay on Nar Shadaa. However, their shuttle was intercepted and Data was knocked unconcious.

When he awoke, he found himself immobilized and facing... himself? His captor was all too happy to gloat and explain the situation. He was his "brother", "Reanimation Evaluation: Zerek". Built to be a better version of RE:Y. However... even though RE:Z, or Lore as went by, now had emotions... for some reason, Soong was unable to recreate the force connection of RE:Y. Palpatine was furious, and also discovered that Soong had not destroyed RE:Y. He executed Soong, and sent RE:Z on a mission to find his "brother". The intent was that the cult would extract REZ's emotion chip and make RE:Y a suitable host.

Lore had no intention of fulfilling that mission. Instead, in his travels had discovered tales of an ancient Jedi weapon, from the ancient times when they were still entirely confined to Vulcan. The Stone of Gol had been created in the wake of Ajunta Pall's treachery, in an attempt to create a device to strip on of their connection to the force. According to legend, the Stone of Gol had a side of effect of not only being able to remove the connection, but actually transfer it elsewhere.

After some adventuring, Lore had acquired the Stone of Gol, and he had Data immobilized. Lore activated the Stone, and it seemed to be working. He could feel something new. He could feel the force. However, Lore was not expecting the Stone to have established a two way connection. Data, for the first time, felt emotion. He felt anger. In a fit of rage, Data channeled his connection to the force and broke free of his bonds, charging towards Lore, grabbing by the neck and bellowing out "No."

Data thought briefly, about .05 seconds (an eternity to an android) about killing Lore. But Data felt compassion for his brother, having come from the same terrible place he had. Instead, Data deactivated him and left him, hoping to return and help his brother. The Stone of Gol had worked in opposite, transferring Lore's emotional capacity to Data. Now not only could he experience emotion, but he could sue the force...

He set off again to find his newfound friend Finn, as well as meet with his Resistance contacts, to hopefully warn them about the potential upcoming invasion...

Coruscant, Earth, and the formation of the The Republic

As the Vulcans reached for the stars, sending their Jedi emissary's out into the frontier and beginning the time consuming and dangerous work of mapping hyperspace lanes, they would come into contact with many new forms of life and discover untold worlds. One such world caught their attention not because of any civilization present, actually partially due to the lack of such, in a location where many hyperspace lanes appeared to converge. Seeing the wisdom in creating off-Vulcan outposts, the Jedi established a small colony on this world, which they referred to as Notrom.

As the Jedi spread to more and more worlds, spreading the wonders of their hyperdrive and the discovering that more races could be sensitive to the Force, interplanetary travel became more common. The small Vulcan colony of Notrom soon began to naturally attract explorers from other worlds, who the Vulcans were happy to coexist with on the central world. Over time, Notrom would become a hub of trade and communication, with various settlements popping up inhabited by nearly all races within range.

The Jedi Missionaries happened upon what was otherwise an unremarkable world that the natives referred to as Earth. They had surveyed the world, but decided not to make contact as the planet had been in the midst of a massive global war, and the Jedi deemed them not ready to participate in the galactic community. However, these humans from Earth impressed the Vulcans by doing something they had never seen... they discovered faster than light travel on their own. Up until that point, all known hyperdrives were Vulcan in origin. Even more curious, it seemed to be a completely different technology, not reliant on hyperspace lanes.

The Jedi decided to alter their course and make contact with Earth. From that point on, humans rapidly recovered their world and spread out in the stars. Nobody could have known at the time, but the humans natural adaptability and tenacity would see them become ubiquitous throughout the galaxy, living in nearly environment, on every world, in every empire. The humans, the Jedi discovered, also had a staggering presence in the force, greater than any other race they had encountered. The Jedi preached patience to the humans, but it was disregarded. In short order, humans were exploring the galaxy.

It did not take long for the humans to establish their own colony on Notrom. The humans of Notrom were curious and altered the status quo, which had been largely established as insular communities, largely serving their own interests and trading when convenient. The humans, in contrast, tried to build communities and establish much closer ties. They were initially met with resistance and suspicious, but as the human settlements grew and the human population exploded, they could no longer be ignored and Notrom became a much more united world.

The nomenclature of the world drifted somewhat, the non-Vulcans taking the calling the world "Coruscant", while Notrom continued to refer to the Vulcan settlement. As time went on the planet grew, the settlements and communities began to merge into each other, eventually covering much of the service with one large ecumenopolis. With such a huge population, troubles arose over governance, as while the Vulcans technically laid claim to the world, there was no actual global authority or law. Each settlement had independently ruled themselves, but given the increasingly interconnected nature, there was a period of functional lawlessness. Once again, the humans were the driving force for change on Coruscant, spearheading the "Coalition of Corsucant" that saw representatives from most of the civilizations present on the world to establish a single, independent authority.

Vulcan took part in the Coalition and was happy to cede authority to the Coalition, which in turn also saw the independent settlements to absorb into the new polity of Coruscant, rather than their origin worlds. The unification of Coruscant was the first stirring of a galactic government and became a beacon for galactic cooperation, proving it was possible for many races to live together in peace. The Coalition of Coruscant would continue on even after creating an independent Coruscant as a diplomatic forum between the people of the galaxy.

In the meantime, Earth continued to expand its sphere of influence, creating colonies on many worlds and expanding its Starfleet, to the point of envy to other powers. However, Earth's rapid rise and expansion caught the attention of the Sith Empire. They were not content to allow the humans to achieve some sort of hegemony over the galaxy and struck out against them. The Earth-Sith War would be fought over several years. Despite the Sith Empire being far older than the humans, the humans were able to hold back the mighty Sith fleets, and were able to call upon their own human Jedi to help combat the Sith. Near the end of the war, attrition began to take hold of Starfleet, and Earth faced potential defeat. In their moment of need, many members of the Coalition of Coruscant sent forces to reinforce Starfleet and pushing back the Sith Empire. The war ended in something of a stalemate, and the Sith retreated into isolationism.

Realizing the threat that not only the Sith posed, but also the Klingons, Mandalorians, Hutt Syndicate, as well many other powers, talks began within the Coalition to further formalize relations. It took some time, but eventually what had started out as a way to organize the various of communities living on Coruscant became the Republic, a unifying body consisting of many worlds joining together. Coruscant was the obvious location for the capital, the old Coalition meeting center repurposed and renovated into what would be the Galactic Senate.

Just as Earth led the charge to get the races of the galaxy cooperating, so too did they become the glue that held the Republic together. At its founding, the Republic had no military forces, as it was seen as more of a trade alliance than anything else. However, tensions began to rise with the Sith once again, and the Klingon Empire would test the early Republic. While many member worlds offered forces, the fight against the Klingons was disorganized until Starfleet took it upon itself to lead the charge. The Klingons were repelled, and in the aftermath Earth argued for Republic worlds to have closer ties and integrate further. It went so far as to offer up Starfleet in a sign of goodwill and trust, transferring command to the Republic. The Senate agreed, and Starfleet surged to even greater heights with the integration of assets from member worlds. More so for logistical convenience, Starfleet Command remained on Earth, while the Senate ruled from Coruscant.

Lore Note: By the time Starfleet integrates into the Republic... they are still, on paper, a Vulcan organization and the Jedi are still based on Vulcan. Their structure at this point is very loose, with no official ties to the Republic government. A bit later on the "Ruusan Reformation" occurs... which is nothing like in the SW OT... which changes the Jedi and splits them into two orders, the Surakite Order based on Vulcan, what would just be known as "The Jedi Order" based off their temple on Coruscant. They are related and on friendly terms. The Surakite Order eventually becomes almost entirely Vulcan, while the Jedi Order overtakes them as the mainline Jedi Order, divorced from direct Vulcan control and establishing an affiliation with The Republic.

The Ruusan Reformation takes bits from the ENT S4 Vulcan arc, ST5 and a few scattered bits of SW Jedi lore. It largely boils down to despite now having a majority of non-Vulcan Jedi, the Vulcans enforce their emotional control as part of Jedi training and conduct, fearing that giving in to emotions leads one to the dark side. Jedi Master Sybok begins preaching that emotional suppression is not necessary, and actively hinders the study of the light side. Many Jedi begin to join him, but Vulcan brands him as a criminal (if you haven't noticed, Vulcan and Jedi can largely be used interchangeably even though they are separate things... not every Vulcan is a Jedi per say, but nearly all Vulcans follow the Jedi teachings, force sensitive or not. Vulcan is part Jeddha).

Plot happens, and eventually the Vulcans attempt to take out Sybok and his followers in an assault on the Jedi Academy on Coruscant. It turns out that the Vulcan High Command had been infiltrated by Sith, and they were attempting to use the situation to destabilize the Jedi and the Republic. It all ended when the force ghost of Surak appeared before the survivors of the battle of the Jedi Academy, and explained that he couldn't have predicted the effects of his teachings on non-Vulcans, and that it may be time to reserve his specific teachings for the fire of Vulcan emotions, not necessarily all people.

The Coruscant Jedi Academy is redubbed the Jedi Temple, and Sybok takes over to help establish the Jedi Council of Coruscant, creating a new Jedi Code for the new Jedi Order. Jedi are free to choose the path of the Order or the Surakites freely.

The Sith Empire - History and Organization

The first stirrings of a Sith Empire were established prior to the exodus away from Vulcan, as Ajunta Pall gained followers, eventually leading to him conquering a not-insignificant amount of the planet. But the proto-Sith Empire fell and the Sith as well as their non-force sensitive followers left Vulcan, a new chapter began in the story of the Sith Empire.

Prior to finding a new world and existing on a flotilla of ships, a unique culture began to emerge, further distancing them from Vulcan. The force sensitive former-Jedi, having taken the name given to them to by their Jedi adversaries, the Sith were the absolute rulers of the exodus fleet. The non-force sensitive Vulcans who followed along to escape the enforcement of the Surakite way, also wished to move on from their Vulcan heritage, eschewing many Vulcan traditions and looking towards establishing their own. At this time, "Sith" was not a formal title, rather being treated as a generic name for those who fled Vulcan.

The conquest of Korriban spurred change. With a world to call their own and their newly conquered subjects, a proper government and society could form. It was during this time that "Sith" became a more formalized identity and rank, not even awarded to all those who were force sensitive. The title of Sith had to be earned. The Sith became the ruling class of Korriban, their leader taking the title of "Dark Lord of the Sith", which at some point became shortened to "Darth". The rest of the society took shape as well. The native Klingons were mostly seen as slaves or a servant class, although force-sensitive Klingons could potentially reach the rank of Sith. Those of Vulcan origin began to refer themselves as "Rihannsu", and formed the "middle class", existing under Sith but above others. With the fall of Darth Molor, just prior to the evacuation of Korriban, the Rihannsu took control of most of the actual governance, leaving the Sith free to explore the force or conduct war.

After fleeing from Korriban, the displaced people roamed for a bit longer until stumbling upon the planet of Exegol. While a largely inhospitable world, the supplies of the fleet were dwindling and they simply could not continue on for much longer. The Sith made Exegol their new home, intending to tame the world. Some Rihannsu referred to this world as "Remus" after an ancient Vulcan myth, similar to of "Hell" from Earth.

Life on Exegol/Remus was hard, and the Sith ruled with an increasingly iron fist. After some time on Exegol, there was a shift in society. Some Rihannsu began to actively worship the Sith as gods, while others scoffed at the idea. Even the Sith themselves were split on it, eventually leading to a power struggle and a civil war. In the war ended in a stalemate, the Cultists were too entrenched to get rid of. Darth Bane, the leader of the opposition to the Sith Cult proposed a solution. Creating the "Rule of Two", the Sith would split, one "sect" remaining on Exegol to foster the Sith Eternal Cult, the other to leave and establish a proper Sith Empire. Rather than simply repeating history, there was not as dire of circumstances to leave immediately. The Sith had a chance to scout, and found a new world to set course to.

Darth Bane would lead his group to the planet Romulus and establish the first formal Sith Empire. Bane enacted several reforms, officially handing off most of the governmental duty to the Rihannsu as well as making them the backbone of the military. Rather quickly becoming known as "Romulans", the non-Sith were afforded the opportunity at at least limited self-governance. The Romulan Senate was formed, its top position being the Praetor. With the Darth ruled with absolution, second only to the Dark Council, the Praetor was afford the courtesy of a position within the council. While officially an equal member of the Dark Council, the Romulan Praetor knew the position was honorary and did not dare to attempt to influence it.

The Sith Empire expanded to include several worlds, and eventually humans began to willingly find their way into Imperial space. Initially treated as interlopers and criminals, the Sith realized great force potential within humans. The Dark Council granted humans the right to settle within the Empire, and after some time humans became commonplace.

Within Romulan society, most humans were tolerated but treated as second class citizens. Those of Romulan blood were naturally higher on the social order, although the Empire did recognize and reward merit, with occasional, extraordinary humans being accepted into the upper crusts. By the time the Earth-Sith War loomed, humans formed a backbone of the Imperial Navy and were largely ardent Imperial loyalists. After the war, some humans within the Empire expected backlash, but partly due to Sith mandate and respect for those who fought with them, Imperial humans started to be accepted as simply "Romulan".

-Insert Clone Wars/Galactic Empire section... still muddy-

After Emperor Palpatine was defeated and the Galactic Empire crumbled, Romulans rallied around former war hero Shinzon. Although human himself, Shinzon led the pure-blood Romulans back to reclaim their former territory, although they were only able to secure a shell of what the Sith Empire had once been. In the post-Galactic Empire world, Jedi and Sith alike were all but exterminated. There was longer a Sith ruling class to lord above the Romulans, and with that, Shinzon declared the new Empire, the Romulan Empire, ruled by Romulans, for Romulans. Among his first acts was to expell all non-pureblood Romulans from their space, creating a refugee crisis as non-Romulans fled.

While no longer the Sith Empire, the new Romulan Empire saw themselves as the successors of the old Sith Empire and a better version of the Galactic Empire. In the Unknown Regions, the First Order would disagree with that lineage...

Nice work! I'm enjoying it so far where I'm up to. I turned your posts into audio and listened up to the end of the first post today at work. I liked the Vulcan stuff but I loved the Klingon/Korriban stuff and it was pretty epic. (The funny thing was, because the text to speech didn't know pronunciations, she kept talking about "Molar" and "Callous" and I assumed these were original characters and then eventually when I got it, it was like a plot twist in a film that "Callous" was Kahless and even though it's not part of your story it was a cool reveal!) Even though this is fictional to both universes I could imagine the Klingon story even being a myth surrounding Kahless in the real Trek universe, but it is fun that in your universe it's not a myth and it actually happened!
Here's some random questions (maybe they get answered in later posts):
  • Did the Vulcans develop the first lightsabers? I keep wondering if like how you tied the bat'leth into it you are going to tie lirpas into it, like the first lightsabers were lirpas or something.
  • What did Kahless and Molor wear when fighting each other? I am imagining Molor as a Klingon in sith robes but I keep imagining Kahless wearing Klingon style armour.

And the poor Tholians all wound up in Sith ‘sabers

You know, I haven't really really considered what the Tholians will be up to here. I would like there to be some kind of SW linkage.

I sort of like the idea of "Darth Callous" being Kahless... that might be a thing... being among the first of the lowly servant Klingon barbarians to attain the title of Sith, he changed his name a bit to sound less... Klingon.

  • Did the Vulcans develop the first lightsabers? I keep wondering if like how you tied the bat'leth into it you are going to tie lirpas into it, like the first lightsabers were lirpas or something.

This has gone through so many revisions and versions, I realize I didn't address lightsabers/lirpas much yet. Yes... my general idea is that the early Vulcan Jedi kind of graduate their traditional lirpa weapons into lightsaber-ish varieties. As time goes on, they begin to evolve into the standard lightsaber design.

Timelines are quite... fluid at this point, but they have already become proper lightsabers sometime around when the Augments leave Earth after the Eugenics Wars, as the Darksaber is a modified stolen lightsaber taken from the Jedi who found the Botany Bay.

  • What did Kahless and Molor wear when fighting each other? I am imagining Molor as a Klingon in sith robes but I keep imagining Kahless wearing Klingon style armour.

That's a great question. I had not really put any thought into it, but... if I did, this is probably where I would end up.

I do know what some stuff should look like, but here... yeah I think in the earlier stages, the Sith are wearing the usual Sith looking robes. When Kahless leaves the Sith to organize the Klingons to fight against them, I think that is when we see him adopt a more Klingon armor type thing.

Along those same lines, later on after the destruction of Mandalore and the Mandalorians fully integrating into the Klingon Empire, Gowron (or possibly Martok) is gifted with a new sign of position... a set of beskar armor, in the form of traditional Klingon armor. When the Mandalorians integrate into the Klingons, there is basically a unification of the Sword of Kahless and the Darksaber, and the Klingon Chancellor is considered to be Mandalorian, thus deserving of his own beskar.

As for other visuals I had in mine, in no particular order...

Republic Starfleet is heavily Movie-Era inspired, but like, which more panache. Think ST Monster Maroons, but with Star Wars accents... command officers may wear capes, epaulets, medals, that kind of thing. The Republic Starfleet fleet can look a bit mixed... generally Movie-Era ST Starfleet, but with some more Star Warsian things dotted in. I can see things like the Hammerhead cruisers existing.

The Sith Empire fleet I see as kind of its own thing. Take some more of the more exotic looking Old Repulic-Era Sith vessels, but give them more of a Romulan green tone over the usual gray.

Clone Wars Starfleet starts to adopt the more Galactic Empire style things, Acclamators and what not. The Galactic Empire is pretty much... the Galactic Empire. When it collapses, the Romulan Empire uses Romulan stuff. When the Federation shows up, they're using more TNG+ era ships and their uniforms are probably more similar the First Contact-DS9 look.

I don't quite have the artistic skill to render it, but I had envisioned the Jedi symbol here being something of a meld between the IDIC symbol and the Jedi, the Sith integrating an eagle into their cog-symbol.

I'll see how work goes today. I have more I can expand on.

I listened to the second post and that was pretty dope. It took me a minute to realise that it wasn't using the Star Trek time scale but that was cool. I liked the development of the Augments into the Mandalorians and then their war with the Klingons and having it ending with the Darksaber and Sword of Kahless switching owners was a pretty neat way to end it!

Yeah the time scale is still... in the air... but it's basically "shorter than Star Wars, longer than Star Trek".

Rather than thousands of years between things, it's closer to centuries to some extent.

Here is kind of a rough idea i'm working with... timescale is in "PRE", (Pre-Republic Era). There is no "AD" stand in, simply a number (so, the year 2024 would be 2024 years after the foundation of the Republic). My "Year 0" is the founding the Republic. These are all roundabout times, not exact.

2200 PRE - First Vulcans discover force sensitivity

~I'm gonna cut if off there for now... still hammering out what happens with Palpatine.

I *THINK* what happens is just like in SW Prime, the Jedi discover Palpatine is a Sith, try to arrest him/attack him. Instead of denying it, Palpatine just owns it and publicly admits he is a Sith Lord. At this point in the war, the Sith Empire is doing poorly and much of the droid Army has been destroyed, along with most of the Sith proper.

Now known-Sith Lord Palpatine makes a demand of the mostly beaten Sith Empire... surrender, and submit to his now rightful rule as the last of the Sith. The Romulan Praetor agrees, and the Romulan Senate declares that by tradition and law, Palpatine had rightful claim to the Sith Throne.

Now technically in control of both the Republic and Sith Empire, Palpatine initiates Order 66 and the Clone Troopers turn their attention on destroying the Jedi and pacifying the Republic worlds in revolt.

From Coruscant, he announces victory in the war, that it is a joyous day of a peace. The Republic and Sith Empire were now under one single leadership, and would reform into the Galactic Empire.

While all of that was going down, several people tried to save as much as they could, and Earth along with several other worlds officially ceded from The Republic just prior to the announcement of the formation of the Galactic Empire, establishing the United Federation of Planets. It was thought Mon Mothma would go to Earth to become the first Federation President, but she thought she may be more succesfull in her role in the Senate on the inside. Johnathan Archer, largely responsble for calling much of Starfleet back to Earth and crippling the (now Imperial) Starfleet, took up the post in her stead.
