Let me tell you something, I just watched Gladiator II, and that movie had multiple things that were 10x dumber than antlything in the S31 movie.

Is Ridley Scott out of control? Or should studios just let Ridley cook?

3.75/5 for me on that one.

Let me tell you something, I just watched Gladiator II, and that movie had multiple things that were 10x dumber than antlything in the S31 movie.

Including filling the Coliseum with water for a naval battle (water tight coliseum?) and putting multiple Great White sharks in there?

Not to mention letting the protagonist ride unchallenged thru 6,000 enemy soldiers to catch up to Denzel so he can go 1 v 1 with him.

So bad.

Soooo it wasnt as good as the first?

GLADIATOR II was fine. I prefer the first because the story was more personal.

I honestly think the funhouse in Q&A is there just because the production needed a CGI asset of a "Turbolift shaft" and didn't want to spend the money and design a new one. They just used what they already had.

I wonder actually if it's an off the shelf asset. Like in Picard season 1, they used several which were noticed but for all we know it was some generic sci-fi roller-coaster to start with.

They seem to have embraced the whole kill and move up thing introduced in TOS "Mirror, Mirror".

My best guess is that the Emperor decides whatever the succession system is and most just make their kids get the job, but the guy right before Phillipa was insane and wanted them to do the Hunger Games. He was probably the Terran version of Robert April, considering how much the MU uses people we know.

Well this is not a real life board. Its about star trek, various science fiction shows movies etc. Its our star trek nerd birthright to complain and nit pick this stuff to death. I thought the movie stank. I couldnt even finish it it was so bad. Glad you enjoyed it though.
