I'd thought Ezri's family weren't fans of the concept, but I just double-checked the script of the relevant episodes and their MA entries, and it looks like it there just uncomfortable with how badly Ezri was taking to it. Maybe I read some subtext into it when I was actually watching the episodes, that they thought joined Trills were weird in general, and would've been weird around Ezri even if she wasn't having trouble finding her feet.

I finished my first playthough and I really enjoyed it for the most part. The only thing that fell a little flat was the seeming lack of resolution for the fate of the _______ people at the end. I assume they want to have an opening for a sequel. I'm going to start a second playthough right away to get the Platinum trophy.

That said, it was very well done and I am so happy they patched in invert-Y so I could play it.

I enjoyed it. Really hope for a sequal.

    What could be improved imo:
Bit better and more phaserfighters to stretch the gameplay a bit. maybe a reapeatable holodeck scenario?
(still with the option to skip phaser fights or make super easy difficultiy - immortality etc. for those who want to focus on story only)
An option (difficulty) to fail in minigames, and instead of auto-reload having a negative effect on the further story.
a bit of a ship fight system. guess doing bridge commander is not possible. Maybe something like a shield/hull % for both the player ship and opponents ships, with the option to target manually too? at least sometimes? (targeting computer offline) or some enigneering taks: power allocation systems (quick decisions)

Even More choices with consequence. even if the choice is very temporair. At least some consequences like losing a phaser rifle, a shuttle, losing a couple of red-shirts that either die or are in the background of the crew at the ending.
An option where: when you do not decide in time something bad happens sometimes. like during the space battle an NPC ship is destroyed if you take to long to decide a tactic. then you still decide, but feel the suspense

maybe a mimimal of open world, like a few locations that are optional to go and free to choice the sequence.
where to have very few side storys and stuff to discover, at your own disposal/option. because it would give it a bit more replayablity.

    Whats good:
    +TNG/DS9 feeling
+very canonish. all ships alpha canon from the series, include the chyenne, which was part of wolf 359 wreckages

    +great facinating story
+story mixed with diplomacy, minigames, exploration and action
+some choices feel meaningfull, some actually are

    +great characters
    +cameos and trek-lore species (TKon)
    +graphic is ok.
    +was bugfree enought
    +mostly intuitve gameplay

    Keep it coming! :)

Second playthrough with some of the choices I had to make to get the Platinum were ROUGH. I did someone really dirty that seeing how he acted in the first playthrough made it really hard.

Portal 63. Destroying the crystals on the second playthrough was really difficult.

Any sign of a non-Epic release?

If it happens, it will likely be announced (and released) in May 2024.

Just call it a tweet, don't listen to the idiot running that site.

And yeah Thomas quote tweeded it laughing. It's STO.

I wonder what changed the minds of the higher ups at Cryptic. It was said back when the game was released, that the higher ups said it probably wouldn't happen because it was a rival video game.

Someone realised it wasn’t a rival, and there’s money in crossovers.

The blog accidentally went up early and was taken down, but the ship 'skin' will be free for a month starting next Thursday.

Also if you pre-order a physical copy of the game for consoles you'll get a free elite starter pack for STO on that console.

There’s the money. It’s advertising for resurgence. Sadly, I could never get into the console version of STO, having invested too much in my pc version for years.

Well they give out those starter packs on PC constantly, at least around major patches.

I think I have one tbh. Ps plus job.
Maybe it’s Sony themselves popping up the cash to pay for the skin in STO.
