Star Trek Reboot was amazing. I don't understand the hate!

they just transformed it into a Alpha male bullshit in my opinion.:scream:
What's wrong with Alpha male bullshit?

I think I stated this somewhere before, but classiness is so overrated. I prefer testosteron over classiness.

BTW, the original Kirk could not be accused of not being an Alpha male either.

And now a word from the Sheliak Corporate: ahemmm-mmm. *cough*
"ABOMINATION!!!!!"

We now return you to your regularly scheduled carbon-based fleshy antics.

The more I watch this film (which I am doing at the moment) the more I love it, and the more I hate it.

It's not like James bond, Batman or Superman.

There is only 1 Kirk, there is only 1 McCoy. I just don't like it.

But... They did do it quite well, and by creating the alternative timeline, gives them license to do what the hell they want.

It is almost 2013. There are been more than 1 Kirk, 1 Spock, etc.

Since TAS. :Thumbs up:

Shame on you Newtype_Alpha. Kirk is &Supposed& to have his tunic off.

I think Abram's reboot was necessary. I absolutely loved everything about the old Trek. I've seen almost every episode - however, it was time for a change, time for a reimagining.

Look at what they did with Battlestar Galactica. What a brilliant series.

I like to think of the old Trek as having taken place, but we're now operating in an alternative timeline. If they set the engines to Warp 11 and slighshot off the sun they can probably meet Voyager in the Delta Quadrant.

It's that kind of universe.

I want Kirk and Spock to end up in 1980's San Fransisco, eavesdropping on their older/alternate selves.

"'Did a little too much LDS'?? Spock, if you ever see me becoming so out of touch, your orders are to kill me."

Actually, you know they're looking at doing something different with the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. I'm hoping they might do a Trials and Tribble-ations sort of episode and combine a modern day episode with something old.

There are SO many Star Trek crossovers that could happen. Sigh....the more the better...

They could bring in one of the previous Doctors. That would be new and different.
