Around min 9, they reveal that the Dauntless won't return in season 2.

They don't know when season 2 will come out. They do say we will again get a multi-episode finale, though.

Min 15: "there's bigger characters than the Doctor in season 2, that are not Voyager-related"

Let the speculation begin...

I want to give Rok cookies and puppies and whatever else her little heart desires! She’s so sweet…
And Gwyn… I’d have told her to give her dad the bird in episode 5.
ETA: Episode 6 had me dying and misty-eyed.
ETA: Dying because Dal’s last attempt on the Kobayashi Maru test was hilarious. Misty-eyed because hearing the archival voices of those no longer here brought back the feels.

It's very long (though the Hagemans leave after some 30 minutes), but some interesting quotes on the ending of season 2 (from around 13min 30s). They also make it clear that the team behind Prodigy has dissolved (as could be expected with no renewal since years) and it must be reassembled for a potential season 3. Making that would take at least 2 years, and more likely 3. The leadtimes in animation are very long.

They also say they were relieved by the reaction of the fans to the show, as well as the pick-up by Netflix.

I do not see this as being promising news, Netflix would not want to wait 3 years for new episodes. If Prodigy was being picked up for season 3 then I am sure that it would have been part of the Netflix deal? However, as the team behind Prodigy is still ‘dissolved’, I read this as meaning that the show is probably ending after season 2?

Perhaps season 2 leads in to the live action Academy series? :D

Pfft…. If that’s going to be the case, Paramount should have just kept it on P+, released the final season and called it a day. What a thoroughly idiotic waste…
