There once was a Cap'n named Kirk.
He could kill Klingons with a smirk.
After phasers and stabbin's
He'd get down to jabbin'
Hot ladies at the end of his.....dirk?
Data was an android, you see.
No need to breathe, eat, drink, or pee.
When asked by Tasha Yar
"Can you truly go far?"
He said: "I have full functionality."
Once there was an XO named Riker
Ladies man, trumpeter and hiker.
After many long years
Of Troi's laughter and tears
He was finally able to.....spike her?
Once there was a Counselor named Troi
Who could sense anger, fear, love, loss, and joy.
She went for Commander
But the conn keys do not hand her
Or she'll crash your ship.....oh, boy!
Excellent!!!

Your Limerick Rhetoric would make a good Lyric!
Most kind, my friend, thank you.

There is so much great poetry in this thread. I am thankful for its presence here!
and now for something a little more serious
On the sands of my ancestors did I come for you, T'pring!
My blood boils like the arid sun of our homeworld.
Pon Farr, what a painful song it sings.
My long pent emotions- a flag unfurled!
To speak of this to others who need not know
The indignity to my person, my being
In StarFleet, where we boldly go
They needed the facts for seeing....
Why it was this affected my life thus
Since the day I was born, it seems
So I asked my friends to join us
And we came down in transporter beams.
T'pau, the leader of our folk
Had intoned my Vulcan blood was thin
I was caught in the violent yoke
Of the dual blood of my kin.
Because you, my betrothed, were conflicted
Or at least, I thought you to be
When you chose my best friend to champion you
Instead of your new love to be.
We fought, my friend and I
With lirpa and ahn-woon!
To the fight, my friend did die!
And you did not so much as swoon!
Then you tell me you chose yet another
For the years we spent apart.
And then you spoke of the cold logic
That coursed through thy Vulcan heart.
I could not argue or debate
Thy logic was solid and sound.
At least I found myself free from you,
Though of my friend, I'm now bound.
S'tonn, I wish you contentment
T'pring is rightfully yours
I bear you no resentment
E'er she'll have you on all fours...
The loss of her is an echo
Of the blood boil once so haunting
I think you will find, former rival
That having is not so great as wanting.
T'pau bids me Live Long and Prosper
As if this were a thing just to pass
I fear I shall do neither
As my life shatters like glass.
I've taken the life of my friend
For the whims of a Vulcan child!
Though my life is at an end,
No more will I endure the Vulcan wild!
Little do I know in the black above
That fortune would pay me well.
For the moments I endured enough
I was alone in the concept of hell!
(Vulcan gong sounds!)
Thank you.
