Spoilers Star Trek: Picard General Discussion Thread

I just saw on Twitter news it said Whoopi Goldberg was tested on the view she has covid. I'm sorry she caught it and hope she gets better soon.

Trekmovie posted excerpts from interviews with Jonathan Frakes he said he directed 2 shows for season 2. And mentions directing a scene with Patrick Stewart and Brent Spiner and John Delanie and it was one of his favorite scenes he directed for Picard so far. And that Picard's crew will continue to have interesting character development and they also posted a new picture of the Borg Queen from a scene they filmed for season 2.

She looks very much like Alice Krige in that photo. Looking forward to what they do with the Queen, especially if it will dispel the endless nonsensical fan theories about there being "multiple queens."

Yes I think Annie looks like Alice Krige in that photo too. I've been very curious about what they'll do with the Borg Queens character in season 2.Especially with the scene with Agnes Juratti and the Queen in that scene from the second Picard trailer.

He can appear to be any age he wants to be.

Should he wish, he could be a small potted plant.

I think Q using an aged appearance to needle Picard is well within his character. His older appearance is so easy to explain that it will barely need explanation.

It wouldn’t surprise me if he showed up looking older as in the screenshot above and then transformed to his Picard: Season 2 appearance once the “joke” is over.

I still don't understand why the Stargazer-A would have any significant meaning to Picard. If S3 is in the year 2400ish, then he'd have been off the Stargazer for almost 50 years.

If it IS the Stargzer, let it be the original and S3 occurring after a time-travel mis-calculation (or Q shenanigan).

It's not other than sharing a name. They might play it up as a big coincidence that Picard needed up at that ship.

And I doubt it's the original, look at the LCARS screen, it has late 24th century details, also it's LCARS and not whatever the Stargazer used, which I believe was just TOS era computer graphics.

It could still be a refit of the original sure, but I don't know why they would refit it. It was fairly old and beat up when it was recovered.

I forgot who posted the below image back in the day but if you follow all the bread crumbs and hints about the show’s third season ship, it leads strongly in the direction of a Stargazer of some kind. Refit, Stargazer-A, whichever.

It would make sense, given how the original idea for PIC was nothing more than a Short Trek episode Kurtzman wanted to make that had a brief scene on the Stargazer (with Jean-Luc being played by another actor, obviously).

Oh that's a nice looking ship! Potentially! It's a bit hard to make out right now. It's definitely not just Picard's Stargazer with some new warp nacelles bolted on, but it's got a similar four-nacelle look so I wouldn't be surprised if it's another Stargazer. (I could do without them appending an -A to the registry though, unless this is the point in history where Starfleet starts giving letters out to every ship, not just Enterprises).

Well, there are several Starfleet ships in the 32nd century which have letters added at the end of their registries, including Disco itself and the latest Voyager. And we know in the 29th century Relativity had a letter at the end of its registry. Point is, the letter at the end of the registry is no longer special to the Enterprises.

In S1 of TNG, the USS Yamato had the registry NCC-1305-E. So, the practice has been in place for some time.
