Done Two of One. I really liked this. It's actually quite rare for Star Trek to play around with narrative structure and tell a story in a non-linear way.
I am loving the Jurati/BQ stuff. It's all electric, all the time. Picard talking to Renee was nice as well.
Good episode. The only part that's drawing me out of it all is the Soong/Kore thread. Number one, I really don't need Brent Spiner to be in this show again. I think it would have been better with a new character/actor. Two, well, same for Soji/Kore. I actually really liked Soji and like the actor, but it's distracting to see her back in another role when we've already seen her as Soji in this season...
Likewise Laris actually.
It's not a deal breaker for me. I'm still enjoying the show. But I find the idea of keeping the cast the same while rotating them through different roles to be... more than odd. Is it a COVID thing where they could only have so many people in long term roles or something?
Anyway, as I said, not a deal breaker. It is what it is. Still enjoying the show.
Next is Monsters. Many knees jerked after this one I recall. Some said it was the worst episode in the entire history of Star Trek and a YouTuber took off his Starfleet uniform in disgust.
I look forward to it.
