This show looks really good. I'm glad to see Leah Thompson is acting in it. And we see more of Q and Adam Soong causing trouble for the Europa Mission. And the Borg Queen is getting more sinister and dangerous.

This has probably been mentioned, but I'm just on page 1 of 15 pages of comments. But I noticed in the credits that Lea Thompson also directed the two episodes of Picard that preceded this one (Assimilation and Watcher).

Better than last weeks. Less 21st century politics. That's good. Points in no particular order.
  • That Borg Queen sure is something. I was quite pleased that her slimy tentacle was not a retcon of an assimilation tubule but merely a ploy to get Agnes close enough to do it right.
  • Part of me thinks Agnes being the new Borg Queen is too obvious. Annika still has work to do and my bet is it's her on the Stargazer.
  • This version of Q sure is a jackass. I mean he was always a jackass but this isn't lesson imparting Q and he definitely doesn't seem like the same one that held humanity in higher regard at the end of AGT.
  • The Soong dynasty has become more important to the lore of Star Trek than Khan. Those pesky Soong's are everywhere!
  • Tricorder EMP. That's new. Kinda falls into the "for reals?" category for me. The damn things can do it all.
  • Call back to the Gary 7 Supervisor was cool along with the safe door and smoky transporter. Picard happening to recall that from Kirk's time? Nah...
  • Picard knows that can't be Laris. Yet he kept excitedly saying her name. Repeating it isn't going to make it so sir.
  • Kore being another doppelganger of Soji... Ok guess we gotta give the actress something to do. Elnor's actor too for a brief second.
Just a few nits really though. Suitably entertaining hour.

I wonder if the show would have the balls to change the future they end up going back to? The way they’re running around causing mayhem, what would happen if they go back and there’s small differences that weren’t there before. Like carpet in the hallways!
And better still: they don't remember anything about what happened, and Picard gets a visit from Q and is just annoyed by him not realizing its significance. Also, Picard is human again. And Seven is still fully human.

If they had balls, make Tasha Yar alive when they get back, and they don't remember that she was supposed to be dead...even Guinan.

I have a whole list of actors that I would love to see make an appearance on Picard before it comes to an end. Denise Crosby is not on that list.

I liked this episode because it felt like the main plot finally got moving again.

I wonder if there is some kind of twist coming with Renee. Like maybe Picard has it wrong and she’s either not supposed to go or not supposed to find that molecule.

Nice Gary Seven reference. But you’d think if they were from the same group not-Laris would know about him.

I’d really love for someone to mumble “man, Kirk really got around didn’t he” next time Picard references “Kirk’s Enterprise”.

the horror movie type reveal of the Queen to the security guard was really great.

I’ll go 8/10.
