You mean you haven’t swooned over the sexy charms of Romulan Subcommander Jack Dorsey? Now you know why he likes birds so much.

Holy Shatner... he does look like Dorsey!

All evidence indicates that is not the case.

At best Soji has a synthetic skeleton, musculature and positronic brain, only her outer appearance is organic.

Plus if they truly were organic the Intergalactic Intelligence may not recognise them as being an artificial intelligence like itself and could attack them along with everyone else.

She's fully organic. They've been saying as much. She bleeds. Medical repair stuff works on her. She has mucus. And one can be killed with a crystal butterfly to the eye.

On a slightly different tangent, at least Trek seems to be avoiding a plot hole that Westworld and seemingly X-Men comics are falling into:

CLONING IS NOT IMMORTALITY. if i make a perfect double of myself that can live forever...that doesn't help me! If you copy my body and download a copy of my mind into it...THAT DOESNT HELP ME.....

But this ep said 'mind transference. And we've actually seen someone transfer their selves (not copy) into Data twice.

‘And yet you can kill one with a tchotchke in the eye. That’s not very androidy.

Star Trek androids frequently have the same locations for weaknesses that biological humanoids do. The head. Organs. Anything close to or connected to the brain.

Data temporarily shut down after a long rod or sword-like weapon was driven through his body and had to be reactivated and revived aboard the Enterprise-D, possibly in "Thine Own Self(TNG)."

So I can hear about his reaction to all the parallels. It's just my idle curiosity.

Hell, the whole setup for the show is basically ME2.
That's fair. I would rather Chabon just keep going with his own ideas and leave Mass Effect away from Trek.

Yes, it's irrational. I don't care for ME.

Yes her external form is organic flesh and blood which can bleed and be healed but not the core which is never seen, hence the need for the Zhat Vash to use the acid or explosives to kill her (if she was truly organic that would not be necessary), her strength and speed also indicate she is not organic under the hood.

If she was organic in the truest sense of the word it is probably a bad idea to summon an entity to fight other organics as it will probably turn on her as well.

Sutra and Saga and all the other Coppelian synths have the yellow skin. So, I imagine they aren't organic at all. I mean they have emotions and maybe a little more advancement than Data (probably hair growth, maybe sweating or something). But Saga wasn't bleeding. The Asha twins, and Jana and her brother, were probably a special evolution beyond the norm.

That cat is probably mostly organic, though.

We just don't know at this point, Sutra could be exactly the same under the hood as Soji she just doesn't have the flesh and blood disguise.

They could be earlier versions or just built for different purposes.

It is likely that Soji and Dahj were the latest versions built specifically to pass for human on the outside and fool scanners.

There is no way to know about the cat for now, probably the same as Soji/Dahj.

You might be right on the others. It makes more sense if Maddux was the only one making flesh and blood synths. And Soong was the one making 'androids'.

I don't use the term hate lightly, so I'll say that I strongly dislike Nerdrotic. His smug face annoys me to no end.

The perfect song to go with him and his ilk, courtesy of The Smashing Pumpkins: "Despite all my rage, I'm still just a [fan] in a cage!"

Hey!

I like that song. Let's not associate such a fun song with fan rage ;)

Man the structure of that ep reallllly creaks. When *I*, the easiest mark in the galaxy, notice cracks....well....

Why did the Borg Cube show up at all? It added nothing to the story that couldn't be added next week. Admittedly when it showed up my sub-woofer went nuts so i will forgive it because the sound design was amazing.

WHY is Spiner in this ep? A new Soong? I dunno. I don't see what that added.

Edit: Oh, and more plot hole then structural problem...how could Narek 'extrapolate' their going to the transwarp conduit when they WERNT going to that while Narek was following them?

Now if you wanna say thats just Soji's under stress speculation....yeah i get it.
