If Data does appear again, I'm hoping they do a better job of de-aging him/making him look more like the Data we remember . And if so, maybe they can go back and "fix" how he looked in the pilot for a bluray release/later digital streaming

Avoiding spoilers. Thank you everyone for tagging them. I usually like to follow the thread right up to the episode release.

About that heavy spoiler we speculated about...
imdb was right! Spiner is in it! As he looks now!

Well .... that was .... unexpected.
(I'm so glad I didn't read any of the recent spoilers tags in the last couple of pages)

Essentially another two parter but not really ending on a cliff-hanger.

Soong Jr. lives.
(how the Hell did Dr. Soong have a son with Juliana O'Donnell???)

All out war is coming.

Picard is dying.

I'm not really sure I'm going to like how this ends up next week.

I have no doubt it will be an excellent finish to Season 1, but it's not going to be pretty.
:sigh:

BTW: The Romulan Armada looks absolutely fantabulous in next weeks trailer.

Any bets that we are going to see a Federation one as well.
(I think They are purposely keeping the Star Fleet ships a complete secret)
:techman:

"They hit us with a flower!"

It was more like being enveloped than a hit.

Just like my feelings after watching this episode.
:luvlove:

It's too late to really analyze that one. It felt like set up for next week, but that world was absolutely gorgeous. I'm still a little confused about the adminition and I guess we will see a grand war between the Synths and Romulans (And maybe the Federation?).

I think I'm going to give this one a 7, knowing full well that next week will probably be amazing. A 7 feels right for a "set up" episode.

Somebody needs to turn the VOTING back on now.

I give this one another 9.

It is a Warning ... but not for Organic Life.

It's essentially a way for Synthetic Lifeforms to call out to the Universe and get an answer.

The Big Bad is apparently a Coalition of other Synthetic Life out there ... somewhere.

There's a Soong, Jr (and he's neither Data nor Lore)? Wow that's a big amendment to the Canon :confused:

I guess Picard shows more signs of the Irridium Syndrome??

Yes. We'll definitely see a big Starfleet Armada next season lead by USS Verity and/or USS Enterprise (E or F). Space battle with the Romulans? Bring it on!!

He's apparently the original mold for Data, Lore & B4.

But he's an Organic Lifeform, not a synth.
Dr. Soong was his real father in a Biological sense.
That leaves a really big question as to who the mother was though.

I'm thinking we will probably see it in next weeks episode.
But goodness knows which starship They will decide to feature.

Definitely a setup episode. There seems to be a lot to wrap up next week.

Was hoping Seven and the Borg Cube were going to help defeat the Romulan fleet. Now I'm really hoping we get to see a Federation fleet with the Enterprise-E swoop in to the rescue.

Not really sure what Narek is up to now.

Does anyone think that advanced android that Soong is making might be used by Picard? It would solve the issue caused by the defect in his brain, but would probably destroy the character.
