Whoever in the writing room came up with the idea that the mere knowledge of these past events would cause people to bash themselves in the head with rocks and kill themselves REALLY did this season a disservice. Completely unnecessary and really badly executed all around. Besides that, this was a really great episode. Character moments galore.
The only thing I can think of is that whoever left this mind meld behind, like Jurati said, "poisoned" it. It might not just be images, there might be some sort of psyche-bending fear embedded in it that overpowers the people moreso than what they see.
The whole thing could be an ancient piece of political propaganda - and you thought fake news on Facebook sucked.
It seems more like some screwed up ancient technology that deposits info into ones head than a mind-meld.
They all had to place their hands on the green glowy thingy to see the images.
And where exactly was that device discovered?

In my head canon it's an early Luna-class starship. If we're not going to see the Titan then we ought to see the next-closest thing. 
Great job by Picard and Raffi for putting the puzzle together based on the fragments of information they got from Jurati, Soji, Rios (and his holos), figuring out the 8 star system, Commodore Oh, zhat vash, Mars attack, etc.

So what mysteries are left? What is on the android planet (how many droids, who created them)? Who caused the super nova?

This show is just one massive cock tease. We almost got to see a fleet of Fed ships and Deep Space 12 but no luck.
I was right that Rios’ ship being a Sovereign. I called my new Refit version in STO that. No one copy me now.
Of course, you’re right. I meant to say “message” but regardless of the method of conveyance, it seems like there has to be something underneath that’s way more sinister than simply images of a bunch of explosions or mangled body parts or whatever.

I think it was. Uhura and a young Picard were involved according to Kurtzman. That idea turned into Star Trek - Picard.

I needed subtitles for Narissa. Why do these actors mumble quietly so we can't understand them?
Clancy finally coming to her senses was nice.
Soji figuring out that Data loved Picard was beautiful! His reaction!
As we were hoping, the engineering holo is Scottish!
The Ibn Majid NCC-75710 looks like a Sovereign with thicker pylons.
Why does Rios have so many rankpins in his box? 9 full and 2 half ones.
The 5 holos as puzzle pieces were brilliant!
Sickbay sounds like the homing beacon from Conspiracy...
Raffi thinks a record player is a walkman XD
When the synth evolution passes the threshold, someone really bad shows up? Who will it be, will they summon the devil? XD
Oh is responsible for the Mars attack, as suspected.

The Walkman reference and Picard admitting he didn't know how to operate the Captain's holographic controls were great. 
So a Sovereign with some weird nacelles.
I don’t think that’s a Sovereign on the box. The proportions are a little different. Thicker pylons and pointier nacelles. Looks more like a Disco with an elongated saucer.
Looks like one of those flower things, not the ship. Maybe it's using the flowers for reentry?
