I do hope that the show makes the Borg a big threat again. And I think the best way to do that would be to show that the Borg have adapted to the transphasic torpedo and ablative armor tech that Voyager brought back. After all, the greatest strength of the Borg is their ability to adapt quickly. Having Starfleet easily defeat a single Borg cube would be a terrible idea because it would wussify the Borg even more. A single Borg cube should be very difficult to defeat. It should require a large fleet of ships to even have a chance at stopping it. That would make the Borg menacing again. And in terms of ground combat, Borg drones should be like zombies that just keep coming and coming and are very difficult to stop. After all, the Borg are basically technological zombies.
I think that may be a tad bit out of the mindset of what the PICARD Writers have in mind though.

I realize that. I suspect the writers of Picard are looking to use the Borg differently than what we saw in TNG or VOY as we've seen already with the use of xB's. The writers of Picard want to do more of a character show. I was just sharing my thoughts on how I would make the Borg a threat if I were doing things.

I had the thought that perhaps the mind meld vision of planets getting destroyed is actually from a large fleet of Borg cubes invading the Alpha Quadrant. It would be a nice homage to the Destiny books which were so good. Of course, Picard will find a way to avoid that future and save the day but seeing what the Borg are capable of in an alt future would be a good way to make them threatening again.

Also dragons and naked women squeezed in wherever they could fit them for no other reason it was created by a creepy neckbeard guy.

Never seen it.
That makes two of us.

This is where someone jumps in and says, "What the Hell?!?!! You don't know what you're missing out on!!!!! You have to watch it!!!!" Yeah, I know. I've heard it a million times. I'll see it at some point.

Four hours to go ... (EDT) :techman:
I hope I can make it. The meeting I had to record at work tonight almost put me to sleep. The Finance Committee isn't exactly the most exciting thing. Zzzzzz....

Miss it. It's like Lost, so good and there was such a build up... But the end was rushed disappointment with unanswered questions.

Wrong thread for it, but I'd be curious which questions you thought it left unanswered. Because while I'll grant the rushed without question, and will agree with the disappointment in many ways, I thought they tied up all their major threads. Not in a way that was satisfying, perhaps, but tied off.
