Would Neelix still be jolly and smiling while getting cut to pieces?

Episode description: When devastating truths behind the Mars attack are revealed, Picard realizes just how far many will go to preserve secrets stretching back generations, all while the La Sirena crew grapples with secrets and revelations of their own. Narissa directs her guards to capture Elnor, setting off an unexpected chain of events on the Borg cube.

So that more or less confirms that the Zhat Vash were behind the attack on Mars, we all thought so but its nice to have some certainty to it.

Now we need to know if they are connected to the Supernova and if so how did they do it without being detected.

So we can can confirm that Commodore Oh is Vulcan since she can mind meld. Romulans are not known to use mind meld.

I am guessing that Commodore Oh is a Vulcan sympatheic to the Zhat Vash 's misson. The flashback during the mind meld indicates the flashback event occurred on Vulcan, considering the landscape.

Maybe a Romulan agent recruited a few Vulcans and showed them the future, by getting a Vulcan to carry out a mind meld with him/her.

From what we have been told the Zhat Vash were formed before the schism on Vulcan, so Vulcans and Romulans can be members, it would make sense that the terrible fate would be spread by Vulcans using mind melds as it is more secure that way.

I can't see her being the Queen. She's too much of a rebel.

Harry FINALLY gets something to do! lol :guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw:

Sure, but for different reasons - she was trying to free the ship from being tracked. At no point has she tried killing herself over what she was shown in the mind-meld. She was shown just enough to persuade her to help the Zhat Vash cause.

Why is Power Rangers a 1? If they showed up in Trek, I’d rate them 7-8 easily ;)

Maybe we are seeing a terrible event in Vulcan's past which resulted in the schism

That was my thinking at first but the indications are that it happened a long time before the schism, which would explain why both Romulans and Vulcans are in on it together.

If it had been the cause of the schism it would be more likely to be Romulan only.

That’s a given. Those green glowy things that indicate Borg activity weren’t introduced for nothing.

There are Eleven Beings in that particular shot.

Given all this, I'm sure if STP links to ST: D in anyway - it'll be that the Vulcans/Romulans in the past encountered some version of the "Control" entity - and saw the future if "Control" was allowed to 'live' <--- Thus the ban/hatred on Synthetic Life research, etc.

The Zhat Vash feel Dahj/Sonji were (or would become vessels for "Control", etc. OR they think there's a part of "Control" existing (and waiting to unleash itself on the Universe again on the world where Dahj/Sonji were created - and that's why bthey want to find it and wipe it out.

But yeah, I think any 'link' between STP and ST: D will be some aspect of the "Control" storyline from ST: D season 2 - and how it was stopped again at the dawn of the 25th century.

Control was defeated a century before Picard. Why would the Romulans still worry about that?

I don't think it's necessary that Control is the villain again. If we suppose Discovery's ending could be taken at face value and Control was permanently neutralized, it doesn't change much even if the Zhat Vash knew about it. Their ancestors saw visions about an evil AI exterminating all sentient life in the galaxy (that they might have received from a time traveler), but they don't know the context and don't know which new AI would be the one to make that bad future come pass. So they just keep killing all nascent AI in the cradle to make sure, completely ignorant that the AI the visions were actually about has been already defeated 150 years ago. Soong-type androids might be completely unrelated to the whole thing, but the Zhat Vash only gets to the "AI = Bad" dogwhistle.

If Romulans/Vulcans/Zhat Vash saw the same vision of the future that Spock did, they wouldn't necessarily know when in the future it happened, but only knew it was caused by some AI. They probably don't even know Control by name, so they hunt anything and everything AI related.
