Ah does she, that would indicate that she knows exactly what she is doing, which points to her having done this before.
Agreed, one mind meld brainwashing does not a seasoned spy make. I'm now even more convinced Agnes was Zhat Vash long before her meetup with Oh, which was likely just followup orders.

Why is everyone listening to Dr. Jurati's fake autopsy report on Maddox? Did everyone forget her doctorate was in cybernetics and not medicine? Why isn't Rios immediately suspicious that his EMH isn't doing this instead, as he would know the EMH would automatically be activated in signs of Maddox's physical distress?

Notice how Agnes went out of her way to keep the crew emotionally off-guard? Tell Rios a racy line about "never slept with a captain before" to get him all hot and bothered and not making the logical deductions I mentioned above. Go into graphic detail about Picard's assimilation right in front of him so he'll throw a fit about the Borg and not think about how Maddox could have died suspiciously.

Agnes said in the third episode she's a bad liar. Nothing she said in her autopsy report was technically a lie. She just withheld the whole truth.

Jurati explained (falsely) how Not!Maddox died to Picard. He trusts her, so he probably didn't think there was a reason to check the medical logs or ask the EMH. The others probably didn't really care.

It will probably come up again, though. Don't worry.

It's a cool easter egg though, would never have thought in a million years that such an obscure race like the Sikarians would be mentioned in Picard.

The show's being produced by the biggest Voyager fangirl in the universe.

According to Last Best Hope, she has an MD too.

Agnes was there, and presumably would have queried the EMH herself. Does anyone have a reason to check up on her? I don't generally check up on people who tell me things if I don't have a pre-existing reason to suspect them. Do you do that?

You’re over thinking it.

A few quick items. I haven't read the rest of the thread since I watched, so forgive any repeats of what someone else might've said.

In "Balance of Terror" (TOS) and "The Enterprise Incident" (TOS), we never learned the names of the Romulan Commanders. In "The Enterprise Incident", she whispers her name to Spock and we in the audience never hear it. I love that this episode continues with that tradition. Narek's name isn't his real one. Romulans have code-names. And you only reveal your true name to lovers.

It didn't occur to me that Picard really hadn't been in a Borg Cube since "The Best of Both Worlds". The flashbacks, the PTSD, the overlap of the images between Picard and Locutus, and then Picard meeting Hugh were all just about as perfect as you can get. Picard was horrified at Borg who were trying to rescue him before Hugh showed up. Like Picard says, Hugh is doing good work. Humanoid-itarian (work with me here) work.

Soji finally has an idea of who she really is. The "flashbacks" were eerie. They were shot in a way that felt like a true nightmare. When Soji sees herself as a wooden doll being put together, it made me immediately think of Pinocchio, which is who Data used to be compared to.

When Soji is trying to escape from being killed and when she's escaping with Picard, I was on the edge of my seat both times. I was legitimately in suspense. Even though I knew they'd escape, I kept thinking "Go! GO!!!!!!"

I give the episode a 9.5 even though I voted a 10 in the poll (can't do halves). Why a 9.5? I have to take a little off for them overdoing Musiker drinking and vaping. We get it. They can take it down a notch while still getting the point across. But that's all I have.

This isn't something we're Agnes is just saying, "Oh, you left the holodeck on, don't worry I turned it off". A man died. Most people in the real world even would look into this themselves.
According to Last Best Hope, she has an MD too.
Ok, this actually is the best response I heard on why they'd listen to her, didn't know that.

Someone who has just been thrown in at the spying deep end shouldn't know how to do that so quickly.

Why would anyone stick around at the institute when their main area of expertise has been outlawed, perhaps she was waiting to see who would come asking questions.
Here's a proto Agnes.

Or a reactivation of repressed memories in case suspicion falls on her or she is interrogated.

I really fancy her for the attack on Mars, her job at the institute is not only the perfect cover but also gives her all the access she could need to compromise the droids that were designed there.

Seducing the boss is also a pretty standard way of making sure you know what is going on, as Narek has demonstrated with Soji.

The only question then would be timing, why were they triggered on that day as opposed to the day before or after, what was the trigger for the attack, was it all designed just to stop the rescue and then ban synthetic research, or was it purely to stop the research and the collapse of the rescue plan was an unintentional consequence.

I may see something on screen to make me change my mind but it would have to be something really substantial.

I rather suspect that not only did Oh show Jurati a somewhat fabricated "point of view" via her mind meld, but that she has implanted some sort of Katra-agent inside her mind to influence her at critical junctures, should she prove reluctant to do what's necessary. I reckon she knows he/she is in there, but is helpless to do much to prevent it - she's not quite a passenger in her own head, more like an unwilling accomplice sat behind the wheel...
Baby Driver?
