What was the new EH? And most importantly, what accent did he have?
We didn't see the EH with the beanie on, must have been a scene that got cut.
Or is perhaps in next weeks episode?

It's just Rios, Raffi and Juarti on the La Sirena now.
I can see that scene playing out while they try and figure out how to get away from the Romulans and back to Jean-Luc.

Seven and the EMH Doctor will also lend their support as well, as
Jeri Ryan is likely to return as a special guest star in S2 and Bob Picardo is in talks to reprise his role with the show-runners as well

Ryan is also listed on iMDB as being in other episodes this season so I'm guessing she'll resurface in the next month, possibly to board the Artifact and encounter a Borg ship for the first time since possibly the end of VOY.

While it is a possibility, I really don''t think that it is likely to happen.

If Rizzo roughs Hugh up too much, she could end up with a XB riot on her hands.
I am thinking that an XB uprising would be hard for the Romulans to put down if it were to happen. There are alot of drones there, and they still know that cube better than the Romulans do.

And if some of them still have implants they can use that technology to overcome the Romulans and overpower any armed units sent aboard to quell the uprising.

Hugh can just turn the entire Cube against them.
He waves his hands over certain places and magical things happen!

 (kinda like what nerds often do in their mother's basements)
:guffaw:

One touch of a control and a hundred former drones can descend on a Romulan suppression team and overcome their weapons.

Or entire walls come to life.

I love how They made the walls of the Cube seem to have a life of their own now.

Kinda spooky walking down a hallway and have the walls rippling next to you.
Spooked Jean-Luc at first.

Romulan Boarding Party Commander: "Stand down at once or we will open fire and kill you ALL!!!"
Hugh: "Bye-bye."
[*Presses control and bulkhead opens, sucking the boarding party out into space*]

Hugh: Resistance is futile!

Swarms of ex-Borg surround Rizzo and toss her into a bottomless pit.

So looking forward to this scene next week....

This would also works for me ;);)

Actually I was referencing if you paid attention to the episode Picard. Perhaps I should have bene more clear.

Making a comparison of Grima's unwanted seduction during a time of grief, versus Jurati seeking out the sexual intimacy and discussing why with Rios is a false equivalence, the comparison isn't logical.

It's been at least 35 years since I have read the Silmarillion, I don't actually remember Grima being a character in it, but it's been an age, so perhaps he does, but it's utterly irrelevant to the discussion concerning the two characters in Star Trek Picard. And at least once a year every year since 76 for LOTR (though in fairness probably didn't read any of the prose until 84 and still don't enjoy reading those portions that much to this day, never been my cup of tea).

Soji - Glad she started to figure this out, although I think it is odd that she would have childhood drawings with her. Mine were in a box in my moms attic I think. But one could rationalize that as her subconscious need to reassure herself of her "childhood". So she keeps them with her.

Raffi- Off the wagon and on a bender. Any of us who have had that struggle know all about it. Handling your triggers to use is a process, and rejection by her son was a big trigger.

Narek- He cries for her. The feelings are real. Decently well played. But trying to murder the one you love is probably a deal breaker for the relationship. When he first suggested a technique to get to the inner subconscious I thought for a minute they were going to say that Romulans retain a mind melding capability. And I still say he is an undercover Borg who is responsible for the Synth attack.

Picard and Hugh - Liked the reunion. And the reveal from Hugh that the Borg are unplugged but not free. Not yet. They had good Scooby gang scenes and hopefully Hugh will be around for awhile.

Agnes - She's a psycho. No doubt about it.

Overall - A little slow in the first half, but a good pace and story line pick up by the end. A little drop from last week, but still better than the snoozy snooze first 4 episodes. Narek's sister is too much of a one-dimensional villain. They should have let her have a handlebar mustache so she would twirl it. Elfrond was ok, but his personality needs work. Rios is doomed. Picard or Raffi are Captain next season.

Ah, now some shit is happening.

Picard starting to go all FC again...but by the end of the episode, had gained some potentially game-changing insight into the nature of the Borg.

Definitely liking Elnor...add intuitive to his qualities. He also seems to be getting more insight about who Picard really is and what makes him tick.

Watch out, Rios, Jurati's got a bit of a black widow thing going on these days...

"She dreams, a recurring dream." Not helping to get the song out of my head.

Think I like Narek better when he's spouting technobabble. His whole end of things made him more interesting to me. Narizzo, OTOH, really needs to grow a mustache to twirl. [Ninja'd!]

Way to get in some jabs at Picard, Raffi! And holy relapse...

Soji's "mom" is pretty creepy.

Rios is definitely showing more depth than the caricature he's been made out to be.

Aw, Picard and Hugh hugged...and yeah, it was nice to have somebody who was happy to see Picard for a change!

Raffi is sooo good at what she does that even drunk as a skunk & high as a kite, she can get it done!
Maybe that's how she works best.
