Beat me to it.
It would depend on who knows.
I don't gamble. What would I do in Las Vegas?
Lots of it.
I don't gamble either and my family and I spent a night out in Vegas going to restaurants, checking out shows, etc. Rain Forest café was fun. I loved going in to the Luxor, but I'm an Egyptian sucker.
Very little you can't do in Vegas, the remainder is legal in the surrounding counties.
That's why the V'Shar killed everyone who knew. Trip was just the first.
Or TOS S2 - "Amok Time"...
Greg Cox beat me to the punch...
But in "Amok Time" they only speak of the Pon Farr, they don't say anything about trials in general.
So you can, in fact, shoot a man in Reno just to watch him die?
Or visit a brothel.
Why would you shoot a man in Reno just to visit a brothel?
If CSI is to be believed, examining fiber evidence, DNA, and blood spatter patterns are also popular pastimes.
Seriously, I've never been, but I understand that there's no shortage of entertainment options even if you're not into gambling and brothels: shows, rides, exhibits, glitz, etc. Even the occasional STAR TREK convention.
Finally watched 1x05
God damned. Now that’s what they call raising the stakes. Icheb dead, Maddox dead. I was going to give a -1 for Maddox recasting but forget it.
Another freaking amazing A+ and solid 10!
Now off to 1x06...
126 pages of Bro-mance? Jeez.
The Bro-mance thread is here...and yeah, we gotta try harder.
Question: If Freecloud is the Star Trek universe's version of Las Vegas, would that be where they host the Galaxy Quest conventions in the 24th century?
What would Galaxy Quest even be based on there? Unless you're saying Trek exists in its own fictional universe for GQ to be based upon. That would be really freaking meta.
Why not? In other shows, they broke the fifth wall many times, sometimes they are even customary of it. Acknowledging Star Trek conventions would not even qualify as original as far as that goes.
