I do think Denise Crosby will return in someway to S3. I’ll honestly be disappointed if she doesn’t.

Ro Lauren is a good cadidate as well (and it could related to Seven as well when she was Fenris Ranger, dealing with or recruiting Marquis survivors).

Plus she's known outside Trek in other movies and Battlestar Galactica.

Ro would be good to have, just not as the Main Villain.

It would be great if she was the villian but these producers don't seem that consistent when it comes to being able to get something all fans would like. They are too busy worried about perception now.

I think they're going the more Top Gun: Maverick route now after the interesting stuff that didn't please everyone in PIC's S1 and DSCO's obvious growing pains in S1.

The showrunner said the villain and actor are brand new to trek.

The Showrunner has said there will be nods to Tasha in Season 3.

It's impossible to please every fan, and they shouldn't try.

Well the producers messed everything up in regards to canon. They made Discovery so advanced it was impossible to even tell it was before TOS and about a year after the cage. It's funny but things in the 32nd century don't look much more advanced and they hadn't even gotten away from warp drive or dilithium crystals. I mean come on.

No, they honestly haven't, not anymore than all the previous series and movies.

It wasn't anymore advanced, it just had updated interfaces for 21st Century Sci-Fi.

So fans get to treat them like shit because of canon? I mean, come on. It's one thing to disagree with decisions and it's another to call it not real Trek, and on and on, to the point that yeah, they are going to react and make things that are far safer. And no, not stuff that "all fans like" because that's an impossible game.

And I'll leave all the other stuff aside because I disagree pretty much on all of it.

I stand by my criticisms of DSC but the ship's design did have some outstanding features from the start. All computers required touching controls and buttons and switches to use and voice-interface computers weren't a thing, something even TOS was miles ahead on in the '60s. And the galley or mess hall had extremely TOS-like food synthesizers slots right down to the sliding orange doors and rows of blinking lights that showed that your order was being prepared.

They were, but they made very little use of it. Burnham used a logic to get the computer to let her out of the brig in S1 Episode 2, and Saru asked the computer to bring up a list of starfleet's most decorated captains in a later S1 episode. There may have been others, but those are the only ones I can remember.

They kept it to a bare minimum and that was refreshing.

Agreed. I think it made a big difference as far as feeling like something futuristic that I found engaging like TOS did when I was kid, and les so as an adult.

It’s going to be a pissed off Sito Jaxa. I could see her having an ax to grind against the E-D crew.

Its The older woman Penny Muroc that Jean-Luc called a 'handsome woman' in Tapestry. Penny never got over it and used life extending genetic enhancements to finally get her revenge on Picard
