Star Trek passings

Two more have passed...
Eric Whitmore passed away 2/22. He played an Ocampa in the Voyager episode 'Caretaker'.

Gary Bullock, age of 80, has passed. He played Goth in the Voyager episode 'Rise'.

Geri Lee passed away Jan. 2021. She played a spectator in TNG's episode 'All Good Things...'

It's easy to miss those who have passed unnoticed in the press. I usually spend the summer searching all Trek online sources for death notices in all the series and movies but haven't had time this year. thanks though for the update.

Actress Marsha Hunt has died at age 104. She appeared in the Next Generation episode Too Short a Season.
She was the oldest currently living Trek actor and by all accounts the oldest living actor in Hollywood until her passing. She also was the second longest living actor to ever appear in Star Trek after Norman Lloyd who passed away last year. She also had appearances in the original Outer Limits and the original Twilight Zone. Along with obviously hundreds of other credits. I believe she was also the last living actor to have been born in the 19 teens.

I just caught this. Do we know who the oldest living Trek actor is now? Memory Alpha doesn't say.

Edited to add: She seemed to more or less retire after her TNG appearance. According to IMDb, her only 3 subsequent credits were nearly 20 years later and consisted of a short film, a B-movie, and finally a docu-drama with some of the other then-surviving actors from the Golden Age of Hollywood.

The current oldest living TOS Trek actor is John Copage who had a small role in Doomsday Machime as a member of the damage control team.
He is 97.
The oldest spin-off actor is Noel De Souza who played a holodeck version of Gandhi in Voyager at 96

Actually, Copage was apparently a spin-off actor himself, of sorts. He was a background performer in several dozen episodes of TNG and Voyager. He's easy to spot as the older African American gentleman with gray hair, usually wearing a blue uniform. His role on TOS was his only credited appearance, however.

Yep. Besides the main crew from TOS he has more overall appearances by a TOS actor than anyone else from that series. I was once watching a B&W episode of Bewitched (maybe one of the first ever 2 or 3) and he shows up to hook up the Steven's telephone. I guess he was always fixing things. LOL.

I just read that Marva Hicks passed away, age of 47. She played T'pel, Tuvok's wife in the Voyager episode 'Ex post facto'.

Actually, she was in "Persistence of Vision" and "Body and Soul". (Someone else played T'Pel in "Bliss"). If that age is correct, she was only about 20 when she first appeared.

I believe she was also the church singer in the Babylon 5 episode "And the Rock Cried Out No Hiding Place".

47! That's no age. Far, far too young. :weep:

One of the most memorable moments in the whole show.

According to Memory Alpha, In two episodes of Star Trek: Voyager she played T'Pel, the wife of Tuvok; once as an illusion, and once as a hologram.
